thing is i want to get some boost through it while im running it in but i dont know how safe i am to to do it lol. why dont you get those injectors cleaned and flow tested? my tuner told me some really good injectors that are well priced but i cant remember what they were now lol. if the 4wd dyno was finished i would just get the car ran in on the dyno then get it all sorted out.

the stock ignition system should be fine for what were goin to be running on these turbos. So long as its in good condition, cap and arm, leads and decent plugs. Is your timing definetly on the 4e marks? Im going to be running a dta s60 ecu so controlling the butterflys wont be a problem, I've asked the mapper about it. Mine ticks over around 1k or just over. I've got 2 polly engine mounts so having the idle a little higher helps with the vibrations lol. It drives really nice and smooth up and down the revs.

its an old td04l map from tuning developments, ive only been running really low boost and keeping an eye on the afr's so are you hoping changing the injectors sorts it out? ive got a set of almost new sard 550's to go in mine. ive got an acis inlet too but i want a bigger throttle body on it first.

im sure i posted in here before but i cant see it. anyway.... hopefully you will get it sorted mate, keep us updated as i want to see what it will make, im still running mine in. mine seems to go lean when boost comes in so i have added some fuel into my map but still the wideband is showing its running lean and doing strange things. i think its faulty so im going to check the wiring and see how i get on. im dying to get some boost ran through it.

my vf23 td04 and now vf28 running 252bhp stock

thats right the vf35 isnt ball bearing like the td04 so the same banjo can be used, it uses devided thrust bearings. they have a reputation of been a strong turbo. he means the td04l is better on a engine with the stock inlet still, but if you have a good inlet the vf28 is better as the race tech inlet on this car helps the turbo spool quicker. -
a bit of bad luck there dude. jap coilovers are not for uk roads there just far too stiff.
-
nice one. have you got one showing boost and arf? when are you getting full boost? my vf 35 is spooling so easily on my 5e

ive added a few more. theres more to come yet maybe get them done later on. all the vf turbos are a straight swap (except the twin scroll one) for a td04 they just need rotated which its loads easier to do on the vf's instead of the td ones. if you use a roller bearing one you need the banjo bolt with the small oil in to restrict the oil, if its a journal bearing you use a banjo with a big hole in it. -

I will try and get some of the vids uploaded later today guys. Was a good afternoon just a shame the weather couldnt hold out for a bit longer. I think carl and his gt have done great for their first time up the strip. The car was full fat too, had parcel shelf, spare wheel, ect all left in. Plus the big lad him self haha. Im sure theres still room to shave a bit off the times with a little more traction. -
borp borp!!! if i hadnt been at work yesterday it would be have all sorted by dinner time no probs! haha
-
I think your been a bit modest there john! I doubt your time will be broken any time soon by another 4wd.

If you can be arsed theres a place in whitehaven that does powder coating mate. Do a decent job and prices are ok. Prob a bit far for ya tho?

I think about a year ago i sent them an email asking if they would be interested in putting it in once it was finished, as i was only planning on running the forged 4e at first so i thought the car was only needing mapped, a few bits sprayed, wheels and then it would be about sorted back then. Not much point putting it in till its finished. I will have to go get the mag after work 2nite. Thanks for lettin me know guys. I've got just over a hundred miles on it now and its running great, the turbo spools so easy! Gunna drop the oil again and start clocking the miles up -
