  2. mine wont be running, its only got 30 miles on the 5e and an old td04l map on it. i should be taking it through just to put miles on it though. ahh thats a shame im sure you gave it plenty of abuse though! yeah be good to see the red one. mini valvers got a thread on here, vf28, big race tech inlet, emu, cusco mz diff, 252bhp on stock engine, goes very well! be good if you could get down mate for a crack. im planning on going on the saturday, i fin work at 12:30 then im heading through in either my car or maybe mini valvers if hes not already through there.
  3. yeah ive been thinking about getting some vids for a while now. mums got a hd video camera i can use. I dont know when it will get mapped as i need to see how jdm is cracking on with building his new dyno. Theres a straightliners event this weekend me and mini valver are going to enzo. mini valver should be making his debut up the strip in his beast which will be good to see how he gets on. its not far from carlisle if you fancy it dude, its on sat and sunday rwyb £30 or £35 for unlimited runs i think i paid last time link to racewars location!
  4. cheers John yeah the brakes were always a bit shit on this from when i got it. when i was running td04l at a bar i had to work the brakes alot harder than when i had my old gt. the front discs and pads needed replaced so it made sense to upgrade to the 4 pots. The meisters where a good purchase im glad i got in touch with jerrick about sorting a set out for these. well not much of an update but its got an mot now. i fitted a few bits, new ball joints, track rod ends, a wheel bearing, cv boot. i will be taxing it tomorrow so hopefully i can get some miles put on her. I've only done about 30 so far. it just wants to come on boost, seems to start spooling really easily. got my self an acis inlet too, i need to decide which throttle body i want to run maybe one with something like 60-65mm butterfly in. i want something that isnt going to cause loads of problems with the tps though. yeah it should certainly get through the gears quick enough mate. i remember when i first hit the limiter in 5th i was thinking, hang on a minute lol. not quite sure what it should make 350 would be quality but i dont think it will make that much. around 320 would be nice, plenty more to do yet though.
  5. i used to have an exedy paddle in an old gt running 1 bar on a td05 and it handled it fine never any problems.
  6. helix paddle is a nice one too rated high and not harsh on the pedal at all.
  7. haha, holiday sounds good mate but house bills grr couldn't be doing with them! im on morning shifts next weekend so i finish at 12:30 on sat and 1:30 on sun so i will be straight through after then, no racing for me though unless i can take the supra lol which i doubt would be fun though. if carls not away hopefully he will be racing his borp borp!
  8. yeah something like that mate! yeah im sure ive got them too because you sent me them. i remember the car spinning up on the motorway when i was changing lanes haha. we're old timers on here now not like all these young pups that keep popping up! you still not got yours mapped yet? im off work next mon tues wed so hoping to get some miles racked up on the 85, better get it taxed too. prob get mine mapped before you do! lol. i might pop through to jdm to see how hes getting on with his new dyno.
  9. daz knows the crack. that was a good few years ago now mate! also when i sold the car it was on a px53 number plate not an N reg everytime i see a pic of my old gt i wish i kept it looks like your misses has got a nice on there though, make sure she looks after it!

    i wouldnt bother getting a bumper from japan it would cost an absolute bomb and prob be buzzing with radiation! i bought a drivers seat rail off bid jdm i think i remember the auction ended for about 70 quid but with all the fees, postage, re packing fees then postage to the uk fees it was around 220 quid i think! glad i only bought one of them! i wouldn't bother with bid jdm its a rip off.
  12. you should consider a vf28, my friend has one on his 4e it spools nice and is making 252bhp at 1.1 bar.

  14. still not taxed it but it is i guess. ive done a total of 30 miles in it lol. runs great its hard to keep it off boost, it just spools so easy! im going to take it for a proper geometry setup so before i do i decided to fit new track rods and ball joints and i noticed one cv boot was about to split so i will get that changed first.
  15. mine passed with flying colours lol. it passed without a cat, the emissions were squeaky clean!
  16. check mani and turbo bolts are tight as it could be the gasket vibrating.
  17. theres 2 seals on the dizzy one on the end of the shaft and one inside it.

  21. ive worked my shift rota for over 5 years now i always do 2 or 3 afternoon shifts 1:30- 9:30 then a 2 or 3 morning shifts 6:30-1:30 then 2 or 3 night shifts 9:30-6:30am i do get pretty tired but you sort of get used to it. every week i will do double backs too either a morning and a night shift in the same day or an afternoon shift onto a morning shift. also do 12 hour nights on saturdays and the odd 12 hour day shift. the shifts are a bit nuts but i get ten days off every month which is cool. i dont bother with any energy drinks as i think they all taste like shit and there rammed with crap pretty much.
  22. my mate bought a engine off some breakers place recently (i cant remember who now) when he got it i had a quick check over, crank seal was leaking quite badly. then when the both manifolds were removed the ports were covered in gunk and crap he was told when all engine are removed they are completely checked over ect. the guy took it back luckily. if it was me i would only buy and engine off someone who was a long standing member or i knew the car it came out of or went for a drive in the car while it was still in it. i bought a 106 gti engine a few years ago that was described as mint and only done 50k miles apparently. i fitted it and the clutch was siezed onto the flywheel, it was using loads of collant so i took the head off and it had a great big crack in it! so much for great condition, ended up getting another head completly rebuilt and ported and polished.
  23. na no head work dude. if i decide i want to go a bit mental with it i can wip the head off and give it to my mate that port and polishes heads no problem. i think 300+ bhp and ep85 gearing is going to make for a pretty quick starlet though!
  24. i took mine for its first drive on the road just before, just taking it easy but i couldnt stop it coming on boost!! seemed a nicer drive on the 5e with more grunt off boost. just dropping the oil now
  25. hahaa qualiy t1r's are only 34 quid in 195/50/15 cant complain at that! i think the pradas are 40
