  1. i would tbh, but then it depends on the kind of guy you are. some will sell a car and not care id personally want to be kept up to date on it if i sold mine on but that's more to do with the attachment i have to my v than how good a guy you are or aren't as a seller lol
  2. Depends how good you are with a spanner, if your good its a cheap fix, I've had a few 4efte's in bits there not a hard engine to rebuild. If not then i would expect buying a new engine would be cheaper than a garage bill for rings to be replaced, possable block work ect.
  3. 30-40 quid maybe, they dont go for much im afraid.
  4. As above, use a hubcentric style spacer mate, no fear of a wheel comig off on them
  5. i always let mine cool down myself, turbo timers anoy my alarm system ;)
  6. uprated fuel pump would be a good idea no matter what way you go dude. if i was you id try and get a ride in a hybrid powered starlet and a ride in a td04, if yours is primaraly a track car spool, and response are important and nothing is better than trying each and seeing what you are happy with.
  7. I stand corrected then i thought dave at tm and my qualifed mapper knew what they where on about, glad your mate and his gt4 could put us all staight, guess the lesser tunable emb is better?? also yes driven a td04 glanza iddy, i own one! And had 2 different hybrid kits before that. Im sorry my difference of opinion dosnt go down well but after 5years of owning modded glanzas and building forged engines and havig had countless setups id of thought id know what i was on about. Td04 is good but dont ever over look hybrids! The power and response on a stock engine is second to none!
  8. Millway racing in andover have quoted me 200 for mapping mine, is extra if you want the launch control setup though jump on google and search for dastek approved mappers dude. They are all over the uk and dastek is one of the best piggyback you can get. Talk to dave a tm developments about them if you want imparcial advice
  9. Seat black, whatever the one on the alhumbra mpv is because its fookin lush! Best black imo!!
  10. Plug n play will be 400-500, and net u 200ish if your lucky. Pick up a second hand dastek for £150 an mapped for 200quid and prob get a better result mate. Plug and play aint cheap atal for what it is, oh and good luck finding one lol. They arnt realy worth the money you pay.
  11. Prsonaly id go hybrid for track to, response is much better on a hybrid than a td04, granted td04 maybe cheaper but not when you will need new mani decat etc, hybrid is a much more responsive setup for 200bhp td04 is better at like 260-270bhp then the slower response doesnt matter realy because you have more power through out. A second hand good hybrid will be picked up for £200+ and be a much better set up imo. Dont bog youself down with lag you dont have to have, especialy on a track car!
  12. You hav a starlet dude, thats the only box you need to tick its not a race its a laugh on a track as a club,
  13. Dont get me wrong a uk car with 12 owners and 130k on it thats 10-15years old isnt an issue, a jap import like a glanza is either looked after right by some one who loves it or ragged to shit by a chav, 5 owners in 5 years is too many for me, 5 owners in 15 years i could live with. The other issue is he saying they dont have service history, again not a real issue but if a cars changed hands alot then theres no way of knowing if its maintaimed, at least an enthusiast who has owned it 2-3years and done some modding is far more likley to of changed timing belt, reg oil etc
  14. Im in there like swim wear!!!! Looks like i should be able to pay friday now steve
  15. I agree dude is too many, id be worrying about how thrashed it was and that fact that no one has prob even considered an oil change! I imported mine privately and it came with full jap service history too! Im the only uk owner in the 3-4years its been in the country, you want to buy an enthusiasts car bud, one thats been known on the forums etc
  16. Slow down before you strip it!!!, basicaly my mates mum's 600hp skyline was stolen and the insurance payed out, then the car resurfaced and it turned out her ex had stolen it and reregistered it in his name!! Long story short, insurance payed out, therefore she wasnt entitled to the car back, if the garage claimed on their insurance then they arnt entitled to it back, you bought it under honest intension, its yours and you payed for it, your the registered keeper. Wait and see what the investigating officer says, not all cops are cocks (mrs family are all cops), he will sympathise with you, af
  17. I miss my ct9/ct20 hybrid, was awesome!! They are more laggy than other hybrids but do go some. Mine pulled like a mofo when it was going. Glad your happy steve
  18. Most of my parts come from japan, rhd is one of the sites i use. Highly recomend them!!

  21. Lol you would need more than springs to make it half as good, driven many starlets with a ton of handaling mods have you? Oem set up is kak but get some good mods on and starlets corner like crazy. An mg zr??????? Seriously? They are rover 200 with a body kit. I think your a bit miss guided bud, zr's arnt any where near the league of civics and starlets lol
  22. Mild steel, zisco or wepr as they are both fantastic but stainless always crack on starlets dont know why but the do! Is to do with heat expansion rates etc, either way mild steel ftw!!
  23. im 27 this year dude and i get called a boy racer by everyone lol, i just say "im a car enthusiast, boy racers cant afford my car!" what ever makes you happy bud, i find a change of wheels makes the exterior look worlds different
