Lol what hes sayin ads is the standard actuator is set too say .2 bar then the oem boost module raises it to the stock levels of .4 on low and .6 high. As you can only raise boost with a control module not lower it so the oem actuator cant run at .6 with out a controller be it oem or after market as they are set low from toyota. Its physicaly impossable for it to run at .6 like that on an oem actuator. Unless it is goosed and the oem module is a restrictor not a controller in which case ads is completly right and it should run .6 like that meaning tje controller is fudged.

I have to agree i think the viscouse coupling will blow first followed by rear diff or transfer box. But meh? Time will tell. I've got the mag feature on your mates justy, is a wicked little car. Nice tidy car she has there mate. Yes the hub boss off a later one should also fit as does the celica hub boss too iirc. Only thing id sujest is to upgrade the little 1e engine to a 1.3 out of a ep80gli or an ep91 na at a later stage as i do find the little 1e engines a tad underpowered for big hills etc and the fuel consumption isnt all that different really. Will be a bit of work required to do the swap though but mostly fuel lines and wiring as all mounts etc are the same.

As above i think we all got a little heated a little quick. As for independent rear sus its less about deep pockets and more on research. Ill update with what we come up with once we have realy got going for now its just ideas and thoughts etc. And if the 5ddor i have doesnt sell for what im after then ill keep it meaning i have a full spare 4wd set up should things get to stressfull for the 3door. So at least we can try some new things without being so worried about needing parts if they blow. And dan is right there was a thread about the 4paw drive system on ukso saying how thick they are and the drive system is thicker than the imprezza system.

And morgey i fail to see how you can try and make assumptions on the ability of a 4paw based on a 260hp justy? 1. They are to different cars, its like comparing a civic and a starlet (we all know what happens when we do that lol) and 2. The 4paw isnt limited to 260 has very thick running gear. And as proven from other 4e 5e builds the engine will give 4/500hp if you pump enough money in. As for independent rear suspension there are ideas in the pipe line fir that too.
