you know what you have convinced me to go black and gray/silver. i do like the earlier starlet with the silver on the roof i think this will be the look of mine as a tribute to these. with using mostly Toyota parts (off many different models) i think i will get away with calling it the advance with stickers.

haha. yep i did this for alittle fun build, there really quite cheap to build up. it has become a little work of ongoing art. i also really like these in the picture above. i was going to do black and white with hints of red on the white wheels/red striping and badges.

Good to hear. You can't beat fresh paint. Yeh I'm thinking a 2 tone colour half black half white with a red strip in-between. Like the fiat 500 abarth. Not 100% on it yet. What do you think.

not many. they come over with it the ac then gets removed. this area is abit of a gray area for me on these. keep us posted with what you find.

with some discussion between myself and dutchie on here we think we might have found some inner drive shaft cups to match up the c63/c64 2zz gearbox with the starlet/glanza/gt turbo drive shafts. this will make the conversion much easier and cheaper to do. the c63 and c64 are internally identical with the exception of the 6th gear ratio, the c63 from the toyota 2zz will hit around 140mph and the c64 from the lotus around 155mph, the gear sets do swap over. ive ordered a set of these cups and will be testing them out early next year. fingers crossed. the bell housing and bea

after seeing a set of these up come up for sale recently ive decided to purchase them to go on the starlet. reflex rear lights. i had no idea these little cars could look as well as they do. these are crazy easy to install.

I'm not sure on the AC fitment we don't see AC in the UK on the pre 2000 vehicles alot.

great picture this. you can see that the cat pipe on the 4efte will foul the front gearbox mount and the front to rear cross member. loving all your research so far keep it up ill get into the wiring as soon as i can. hope you and the family are well and are getting ready christmas.

very well said. botttas is a great driver but just lacks that certain something. he often gets stuck in traffic, and really struggles to close that 2sec gap were the wake of the car in front really upsets the front end grip (front wing). monza last year is the perfect example. were as lewis sat on the ferries bumper harassing leclerc the hole race, leading to some quite dangerous driving from the youngster. when it came to lewis taking his pit stop, and bottas on good tyres now taking up the fight. it was a totally different story. again we could see that 2sec gap were bottas felt confident w

get these from a reputable/known dealer there are many cheaply made china copies. i can recommend demon tweaks or tuning developments ebay is not the place to buy them.

the fuel pump is what i would consider a vital component, with the age and mileage covered by your pump and the added benefits of an up-rated pump. ive always replaced my fuel pumps with performance items. i had a older fuel pump fail on me, on a nissan build using the same pumps. it took out the engine. if you search on here the walbro pump is highly rated/recommended when increasing the 4efte hp output. you simply just install it in place of the old unit. you will have to cut the 2x wires and join them to the new pump.

no but that is part of it. so yes you need that cover to. ill look for the bonnet scoop seal now, see if i can find a picture.

yeh take your time. just get that glanza or gt bonnet scoop seal for the top mount inter-cooler. i might have a ep82 gt turbo 1 spare.

195/50 r15 very soft. great grip. the launch was great bounced forward, very aggressive, around 230hp any more and the times went backwards (wheel spin) on the levin 6speed lsd box, tdo4l hyb. the tyres lasted 5 month from new. im on rainsports now same dimensions on the corolla g6r lsd gearbox. not really had chance to drive it on these.

yeh around September time in the uk (hottest time of year) on Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres i was able to hit near anuff 5sec constant, (i soon chewed threw a set of these very soft tyres + ripped my rear gearbox mount clean off. keep up the good work. ill have to get some videos done next year.

always a pleasure to see your progress. thanks for the info on that clutch im on that clutch and should be around that figure 180 to 200ftlds. whats your 0-60mph 40-100mph times. im hovering round the 5sec mark its just my driving and outside temps that are letting it down.
