  1. You will need pistons first, before even thinking of boring the block. The pistons come with a data sheet, with details on what to bore it to. Its not a case of boring it to 74.5 and slapping the pistons in.
  2. The bottom pulley should just pull off. Give it a wiggle, and it should fall off. As with the oil pump, its siliconed on, give it a slight pry, and it will come off. Its also bolted on.
  3. Enzo, i wouldnt bother with Edzell. The lad wants about 2k, just to open the gate.... Hence why Crail (Willie Robertson) doesnt come up anymore.
  4. You do realise, that your car wont be in the under 1500cc class. You will have to take 1300cc x 1.3 and this will tell you your class. £40-£50 to enter, then you have every other cost aswell, i really dont think you have thought of this..... You must have a job now then to pay for this?
  5. Surfer are you sure thats not an early Speedvision manifold? Im sure thats what Lee had on it.
  6. Raje- Its an impressive car to say the least, more to go though  Cheers Sparky.
  7. I know that some of the members are on TGTT, but unsure if htey are on here. The quick GT mentioned is moi.
  8. Are you sure your water lines on you throttle body are hooked up the right way? Its an easy mistake, that would be putting water straight through you engine. I have a picture of how they should be, if you want me to put it up i will.
  9. The bulb is a 9005. Tried and tested.
  10. First off, very nice purchase. Quick Q, why put a spoiler that big on a FF car? It will not help it. A spoiler is for aiding traction on a rear wheel drive car, and for stability at higher speeds. Not having a go, but i think it wont work as well as you think, or if it does, it will try and lift your front wheels all the time on track, not good eh? As i say, not having a go at it, just voicing an opinion.
  11. First off, lower the preasure in the tyres. Second off, Soften the suspension at the front, Stiften the rear so it doesnt sit down at the back. Third off, Replace all your bushes in the front, not necesarry, but helps. Fourth off, Engine mounts, uprate them, or renew them Smaller wheels also helps If you harden your shocks, you will get a pogo stick effect, not good. Ive never had wheel hop in ages, and yes i can launch hard when i want to Rory
  12. Nice looking car enzo. Is that the wheels from your old Ep?? If it is, have you had them crack tested after your smash? They could be goosed.....
  13. Cool mini, ive got one in restoration just now. Carbs on a vtec??Hows that possible?
  14. "if you knew every lil thing about the car then you surely would know its fucked before you bought it, therefore wouldnt buy it." Hey the lads right! Was it not you that took it up to 150mph known that it had a problem? You must be clever, and i doubt it was andrews fault,he never built the engine.
  15. The WEPR hybrid pulls alot harder than a tdo4. The last rr day i was at,my car pulled all the way to 7200rpm,unlike a tdo4,the power dropped off before 7200rpm. Enzo, what are these maps you are on about?? Why dont you get the T3 internalls in the ct9b,It would give a good hike in power and the lag would be minimal, due to the AR of the ct9 housing. Speak to killamatts from TGTT.com,he had one for sale a wee while ago. Rory
  16. The CTS is under the dizzy cap,and its green. Easy to spot
  17. Well heres my hobbies, DH MTBing, damn RTA kept me away this year! And my knewly aquired toy!! And where all the money goes...........................
  18. Not to piss on the fire here, but  I dont see why you are holding out for a big power starlet/glanza. If someone is willing to take the place and have a go,then why not?? Also this crap about launching etc is bollox, the surface is pants, about as good as crail! No decent launching. Also im stil to see you run at crail aswell. :end rant: There should be a couple of quick rex's there. I know of a few that runs low 13's to high 12's. Have a good day anyway.
  19. Check the plugs if you think its running lean. Its the old fashioned way but still works. Black=rich, light brown=lean You want a goldy fawn colour(if you get what i mean!)
  20. Thats lee alright,on the ct9 turbo aswell. He aint blown a hole in the piston, the ringland went on piston 3
  21. AaronW: ill be leaving from the montrose area, well arbroath.
  22. In my last year of my apprentiship,CNC machining at merpro machine shop.Pays the bills.
  23. Gaz,i got my GTT when i was 19 to,but i live in the middle of nowhere so cheap insurance
  24. youl find it tough to get insurance on any of the cars apart from the SR. You only have 1 years no claims, and depending on where you live might cause a problem. Anyway back to the point,i would choose the Mk2 crx siR,bro has one and is fun to drive. Ps,shelly you do get PAS on the Mk2 crx's
