  1. You think that's bad, I'm the same age as you, 1 year NCB, and last year I was paying near £1500 for my N/A, bought another one and done some quotes, now I'm getting quotes of 1700-2500!

    Tints Or Not ?

That GT looks nice! What make are the wheels?
  3. Just take the power steering pump off, it's not hard, and the time it takes you to take it off and put it back on will probably be quicker than trying to fuck around getting the nut off in an awkward space.
  4. I only went out because it was £1 a drink lol.
  5. Oh you pricks I'd love a KFC now you've mentioned it! My cure was to stay in bed all day haha, I think last night is the worst I've ever been my mates had to ring my dad to pick me up lol and I can't remember getting into bed or anything.
  6. Do you fancy not being able to walk properly for a bit?
  7. Norway flag intercoooler WMS brake kit looks good.
  8. White would look nice, or red with a polished lip.
  9. Rota do a copy of these Weds, but I can't think what they're called...
  10. Yours are the same as JDM Starlets. Our UK ones are the other way round.
  11. There's a guide in the wiki section under turbo/bush mechanics.
  12. Your indicator and wiper stalks are also the opposite way round to the UK Starlets.
  13. Before you actually remove the filter you will want to depressurise the system, just take the fuel filler cap out. Just make sure the new filter doesn't leak, it can be a twat.
  14. No idea on costs but if you were going to do it properly which I'm guessing you are you'd need to take into account: machine the block piston rings pistons/rods if the old ones are fucked water pump oil pump new valve stem seals depending on the mileage all belts etc...
  15. That looks like a generic article on "tuning" that's just been edited a bit to make it look like it's about Starlets. Crock of shit really. Some of the articles on that site are good, but every so often I'll check the chat forum on there (I don't have an account so only the general section) to see if there's anything interesting been posted and it appears that the majority of them don't really know anything about cars lol.
  16. That's why you haven't got it back yet, you don't send off the green slip.
  17. One week. I haven't drove since September last year, got a CRX that I wont be driving until June and another Starlet sat outside that I can't drive yet because I'm not insured.
  18. As above do it the "right" way and change the suspension, 17" wheels are no good on a Starlet. Changing springs is quite simple and can be done in a few hours with basic tools.
  19. Stickers kill cars, leave it clean.
  20. Why 10.6? Although I'm sure that's easily achievable with a Corolla manifold, good condition engine and a quick gear change.
  21. Good point, maybe shorten 4th and 5th then, as 1st/2nd/3rd are really good but once it got up to 80 the rate of acelleration really drops off and past 95 it's snails pace. I rarely used 5th unless I was very low on fuel.
  22. I once wasted £15 in under an hour. That was good fun. The brakes were giving off so much heat you couldn't even touch the alloys.
