That's pretty much what I got, 5th does over 120+ *cough* kilometers *cough* on a private road. If someone made a really short ratio box for Starlets where they topped out at 100 like Minis then I'd imagine you could cut the 0-60 time right down. -

My old Starlet was a 1997 I think, I had a rev gauge in mine and the limiter is at 6200rpm. Right on the limit it was doing 60mph. Just as a reference if it helps at all: 3rd gear topped out at around 85-86, and 4th was 105-110. -

As far as I am aware all UK spec EP91's do 60 in second. Other than that I'm guessing it's down to inaccurate speedos, different wheel sizes etc... But I definately did 60 in 2nd in mine. -
Have you not got an uprated actuator yet? If not, then get one.

According to Wikpedia the bore on the 4EFE's found in EP91's is .3 mm bigger than the 4EFTE/1st gen 4EFE. It's certainly possible but if you're going to do a rebuild you might aswell use oversized pistons and have the block rebored anyway. Wether it's exactly identical other than that, I don't know. -

Basically you want as much flow as possible without losing velocity, or something like that. A cat is a restriction, it serves no performance purpose. Have a read up on exhaust scavenging aswell.

Theoretically a decat should give gains. I am told "back pressure" is nonsense. When you say you are getting your exhaust done, do you mean a full system?

You should be alright, 45 profile tyres are fine. 50 profiles are fairly close to the arches on the front but just about clears them.

Would usually say colour code but not too sure as it goes nicely with the bumper canards and matches the spoiler/wheels/wing mirrors.

I could possibly get it for free, as it's just been sat there and I don't think my uncle could give two shits about it. The problem is I don't think he has the keys or the logbook for it, as the previous owner of the house he lived in just left it there. Along with a boat, a pool table, etc... lucky bastard. But it's just a matter of wether I'd make any money breaking it. I suppose I'd have to join some Mini forums to find out. When the weather picks up I might have a proper look underneath it to see if it's worth even attempting to restore it, as I said it's going to need a respray and lots
