  1. I put a dog in my gearbox and the bastard chased the cat straight out the end of the exhaust!
  2. I really like that, love the colour. There's a few things I'd change (spoiler, bootlid, wheels, paint the bonnet and headlight surrounds to match the rest of the car). But apart from that it's very nice. What engine is in it?
  3. If you have some spare time, you should do some research on suspension. What's your current setup? Lowering springs on standard shocks? What other bits do you have? ARB? Braces? The car will be alot better to drive with some good suspension, and you'll be able to make the most of the extra power you've now got.
  4. You can really see how thin the material is there... cheap shite
  5. Fuel cut with the standard exhaust and cat?
  6. haha was about to say exactly the same thing but someone beat me to it

    Hmpp

Gritters are cunts, I fucking hate them, once in my old Starlet I went to overtake one and he chucked grit over me as I went past, absolute cunt, I'd have loved to have smashed his face in.
  8. You'll need a manifold with a flange for the TD04, the traders on here sell them and there are various traders on TGTT selling them also.
  9. As Sparky said it's standard, but indeed painted shitly. Who the fuck painted that cam cover?
  10. I'd love to hammer it down that "death road" in a GT-Four or something.
  11. I paid less than £1200 for my CRX. That was with 12 months MOT, 6 months tax, some history, loads of reciepts very very minor rust on rear arches, ok it's got a few problems like there's a leak, the seats are ripped, etc... but it's mostly a solid car. I think you are being very dismissive about the whole situation. I know what you mean about the prices and the amount if "idiots" who sell cars like this, but I wouldn't rule out Glanzas/GTs/whatever else just because of a few bad ones. Also older cars aren't generally as bad as you might think.
  12. A 1.4 Civic is no better than a non turbo Starlet. If you can be bothered with the niggles of owning an older car, have a look at CRX's. A 1.6 SOHC EG hatch may be another good choice.
  13. It's just the sound of the turbo, you can hear it better with a filter relocation.
  14. RHD ftw. I prefer having my "good" arm (I'm right handed) on the steering wheel at all times.
  15. Not a great pic but my old N/A: miss it a bit now RIP!
  16. http://guesshermuff.blogspot.com/ some nice clams there

    100bhp?

Yeah it should be sound as a pound then.
  18. Yeah Starlets are quite nippy for what they are, and with a couple of mods they're fun to drive. There isn't that much actual power, but they just feel so lively like they constantly want to go faster lol. Also Starlets only weigh about 830kg whereas I think Civics are a fair bit heavier? One last thing - please paint that bonnet white.
  19. The 5EFE is a bit more torquey but not as revvy. Most people consider it a good upgrade. And it's pretty much a straight swap.

    100bhp?

What diameter is the exhaust system?
  21. Surely it's not as quick as a VTEC Civic though? What engine did your Civic have? Or was it the crappy "economy" VTEC?
  22. Looks like it could be a good motor with a bit of work. It makes me wonder what sort of retard the previous owner was.

    100bhp?

I wouldn't say induction kits are that bad, depending on filter quality/pipe diameter and length/position. If you're going to stick with the airbox, do away with the stupid resonator thing, and drill a hole in the bottom of the airbox and put another cold air feed in there. The "problem" with getting alot of power out of the 4EFE is that you'll end up with a highly strung, peaky engine, which is the sort of thing I like, but some people like to have a lot of low end torque, which you wont get with a 4EFE.

    100bhp?

It's possible but many people have researched/discussed/thought about doing it (including myself) but not actually done it. The main reason is because for the amount of money you spend you could get much better results from a turbo. There is also a lack of "proven knowledge" because nobody has really tried anything. But it's definately possible. Have a look round the net for articles on general engine tuning, things like cams, manifolds, etc...
