  1. If the motor is working when adjusted from inside you should hear it work. When putting adjustment to highest number they should dip to max level. Might be worth checking fuses. Im not sure all starlets have this. If its a gls it should.
  2. The plastic caps are just for the colour, you will see what i mean when you get a bulb out there might be more than one size but i cant remember. Im sure someone on here will know i think they are t5 wedge bulbs? Might be a couple of some t10 as well. Cant remember. They are not expensive so just buy a couple just in case, if not needed, keep as spare bulbs for front sidelights
  3. The hardest bit is getting the speedo out. You might have to get the speedo cable off from underneath by removing the footwell plastics. After that its just a case of changing the bulbs for new ones. I would just get standard bulbs, led ones can start flickering after a while. The bulbs have a soft green plastic cap on them for colour. Put that one and your sorted. When putting speedo back in test the bulbs work by putting the connectors back in first.(bulbs wont work if they are in the wrong way). Then do speedo cable last.
  4. Check your downpipe for oil, it will take some time before it burns it all off.
  5. Use genuine pre-mixed red toyota coolant. You can get a 5ltr can for around £25.
  6. I remember removing the driver side footwell plastics and getting to it from behind. Its only a few screws, just be careful with the connections if you have any.
  7. I ran a paseo gearbox for a while and it was fine. I would say they can handle 180bhp maybe more. Depends more on torque really. Im sure someone ran over 200 on a 4efe but they have a aftermarket LSD.
  8. Ifs its standard ecu it should run rich when cold and lean out after its fully warmed up. Thats what mine does. Also found when disconnecting battery it would take time to for it to get back to normal. A wideband air fuel ratio gauge is what you need.
  9. Could be seller not getting price he/she wanted? looks alright in pics though
  10. The altenator fuse i believe is 100amp. Make sure you got the right one in there.should have sticker inside fuse box
  11. thats good you have your own opinion on it mate, I've been around the modded car scene for a long time and if you really like something then go for it. Its why we mod cars, to change it to something that you think is better. I was looking like yourself for a remix bumper at one time, but couldnt find one complete with grill and foglights.
  12. 98 bumper picture my one is a 96
  13. Just to clear things up. The remix front bumper is for uk starlets. Uk starlets have different headlights, bonnet and front bumper compared to glanza (japanese import starlet) the red part of the bumper is uk starlet, and the rest (grey) is a glanza bumper. The splitter is 96 glanza There are two versions of the glanza bumper. You can choose 96 or 98 model bumper.
  14. Yes, Cant remeber if i put the pictures up. Havnt done much to my car recently. but this will give you an idea, plus you can choose 96 spec bumper like me or go 98 spec.
  15. Or be more unique and make a bumper like i did, not that difficult and costs a lot less.
  16. I would defo go drums for long term setup. Much more reliable setup, never had a problem with mine.
  17. Could be tps? Have you taken throttle body off for any something?
  18. Your probably pushing the standard injectors pretty hard at 1 bar, also if you plan to go for more power later on its future proofing them. The standard injectors will be at least around 20 years old now, i would upgrade, but only if you got the right management to go with it
  19. You will need to do your research before committing to the buy. who built the engine? how many miles has it done after build? gearbox can be a problem at 250+ What supporting mods does it have? E-manage, standalone?
  20. Just make sure the engine is a good and it should be ok. If you need any parts like (wiring loom) for the the 2zzge then get in contact with sam @ sj autosport. He will have anything you need.
  21. If the oil was low and you went around a bend a little fast that could be enough to spin the bearing.
  22. If you want to bring the air temps down a bit more then get a catch can vented to atmosphere. The stock setup had hot crank case gases pumped in
  23. What is that battery your running? Looks nice and small, does it cope with cold starts ok?
  24. If you have standard ecu 0.5-6 bar on a td04 is fine. If you have a wideband AFR gauge that would be very useful. If your planning to tune it later its good to have one anyway
