  1. Clean out the throttle body and make sure the cable is not catching anywhere. Lube the part that has the spring and make sure it flicks back fast and smooth Also could check TPS to see if it needs calibration. Pretty easy to do.
  2. Nice update, been looking for a set of those headlamp protectors, bloody hard to find. Good luck with the body work
  3. Check everything properly and use a genuine toyota release bearing. Also i have seen some members have had a few issues with the spec clutches. Sometimes the slave cylinder other times release bearing failure.
  4. I have apex springs and they are good road springs. Not too harsh and improve handling nicley, if you combine with a nice set of shocks then you will love it.
  5. Little update since the weather was good. Cleaned and painted the LSD gearbox. Didnt want to do this but previous owner painted it black and i couldnt be bothered stripping all the paint off which would have been hard work. Come out ok. Hopefully more to come soon. Gotta get this thing on and start putting the car back together
  6. It think cusco and ultra racing are the best ones and they are adjustable on car, whitleline you have to take off
  7. Whitlenline paints does not last long at all, im painting mine right now. Going for black. Also have to copper grease the threads and they seize easy.
  8. The only way i reckon it is cost effective is to get a stronger gearbox from another car like what socks did with his 2zz conversion.
  9. For the cavities like inside the door and seals you need waxoyl spray and you need to warm it up before using it. Best thing is to thin it down using white spirit. You wont need much The the underbody you need to clean of the dirt. Using a good brush and elbow grease. I used a paint on waxoyl underseal. I bought a 2.5 litre tin and its way too much. 2 coats are good enough. The underbody and arches and pretty good when it comes to corrosion on starlet, make sure you arch edges get good clean and coating. The rear beam, petrol tank and wishbones rust the most in my opinion, so work hard on
  10. Seen a few of his videos and your car gets a good review Keep it up.
  11. Thanks for all the info dude. I wanted to know if you can get light blue window tint. Like some factory avantgarde mercedes have them and old mk5 vw golf gti's also had them as well. I cant find a window tinter that does them or even a place that sells it. Thanks
  12. Was this ever mapped? Need a bit of work and the buy it now price is too high I reckon 1500-1700 would be ok.
  13. Thats a nice result. Any plans for mapping?
  14. Just get a good set of discs and pads. Thats the only thing i can think of for 13's
  15. Redline mt90 is what opie oils recommend
  16. That compression test WOT yeh?
  17. They are going very cheap on ebay, looks like a good little setup. Did you get harness from them as well?
  18. Det3 (new one around 650)?
  19. Nice weather again today so caught up on a few bits and bobs Modified the catch can so i can see when its full and put the AN10 fittings on. Pretty tight fit I also had to modify my rear axle bushes. I cut the steel cups that hold the bush. when i first put them in I thought this right because they didnt fit otherwise. So decided to do it properly. Some polybush grinding Then put them in a 55mm outer diameter mild steel pipe. Needs to be about 37mm wide. I will be welding it later to the beam legs. Thats all for today, hopefully more regular updates
  20. Its been a little while but updates will become more regular now. The wishbones were in need of some tlc as well as the drop links. Gave them some paint. They are already polybushed. Before After Also done the anti-roll bar Decided to rebuild suspension with bump stops and waxoiled them for protection. Done the rear black as well to match. Before New bump stops with paint Top mount plates Completed Also done my new calipers Thats all for now, hopefully will start putting it all back together soon.
