if you can afford it. get the unlimited pass, saves having to stand around for ages. stealth is the best ride imo.

you will some people selling used forged engines for around 1000-1300, but you need to know who has done the build with what components and if it has been properly run in. most get their own built for knowing its been done the way it should be. as above getting a standard used engine £300-500 is possible, but can prove difficult as good ones are getting harder to source. whats wrong with the engine and gearbox in yours? or you doing some other type of project?

have you still got the driver side pillar plastic (interior)? how much delivered?

check the bottom rad hose it getting hot when car is a normal operating temperature. also check radiator is heating up as it should be, top first. a thermostat is cheap part could try it and see what happens. the fan should come on when temp gauge shows a little over half way, fan should come on and bring it down. the white gunk is a little concerning but keep an eye on it, could be a little condensation or head gasket gone. because engine has overheated so many times it can cause head gasket failure
-
when the fan come on where is the temperature needle? does fan not keep the temp gauge at half way mark? have you changed the thermostat? put the car heaters on full heat at max fan when car start getting really hot and see if it make any difference. it should cool the car down or at least stop the temperature going up.

try removing the PCV valve or replacing it.

wont be much difference so i wouldn't bother if i was you.

^^ you can just take the PCV valve out and put a pipe in there, make sure its a tight fit. (also make sure the PCV gromet is in good condition) attach the other end of the pipe to a catch can, that has two ports. the other port needs a breather on it. you will get oil condensation in winter in the catch can and occasional small amounts of oil if you drive hard for very long ( top speed run)
-
damn your car looks nice on those wheels, sitting ust right. you going for the race-tech kit turbo kit?
-
Best bet is to replace PCV valve or take it out and put a pipe on vented to catch can. They can cause all sorts of problems. think the oil pressure problem will be related as faulty PCV valve will cause high pressure

I would say that the micra gearbox's are not the bad, but the starlet clutch is much better than the micra. LSD will make a huge difference, many agree.
