My sisters focus is about 330 bhp and nearer 400lb ft. And a civic tried it on with the focus, and it was keeping up with the focus I dont see how a NA civic EP3 can keep up with something 400lb ft in a straight line? id call that keeping up ^.....

Dont forget your tyres...alot of the times its the tyres which are at fault as for the discs i got 6x grooves in mine instead of the usual 1000x and im really happy with mine would highly reccomend a pagid disc
youll be fine, use copper grease on the back of the pad/edges....make sure the sliding pins are free/put all the bolts in by hand first then tighten down...clean the disc with brake cleaner before you put it on etc etc...let us know how you get on
not a common issue as far as im aware, as with anything this old and mass produced it may have come to the end of its life....get a another pump on there the pulley should be solid is the nut loose at all?
makes a pinging noise when its underload its hardly noticeable on a straight but put the car on a hill and put your foot down...as it builds the revs youll hear a specific noise.....
get a timing light and hook it up see where its at, has it had its timing belt done recently? is it using oil? detting when on a hill and you floor it?
