  1. we charge £100 for the starlet prices vary massively so shop around, go to someone who knows jap cars better

  3. Replace the pump, not sure if the N/A one fits....easier to get hold of
  4. Sump/oil pump/crankshaft seal (gearbox side)/around the cam near the pulley....cam cover too where it curves...cant think of anywhere else...
  5. not a common issue as far as im aware, as with anything this old and mass produced it may have come to the end of its life....get a another pump on there the pulley should be solid is the nut loose at all?

  8. ahh bummer be a pain to get it to run without them, how much do you want for the engine if i come and get it?
  9. makes a pinging noise when its underload its hardly noticeable on a straight but put the car on a hill and put your foot down...as it builds the revs youll hear a specific noise.....
  10. do you still have the loom/ecu for the 4efe? how much you after for the lot?
  11. get a timing light and hook it up see where its at, has it had its timing belt done recently? is it using oil? detting when on a hill and you floor it?
  12. mine were like that, make sure you use plenty of the right grease

  15. its the diapraghm inside them thats weak, its made of rubber hence perishes over time so there would be no point it will still be poo....good idea tho...get a new standard one off another turbo and make it adjustable

  17. the N/A gearbox will last for ages, just depends on how agressive your driving is...i put both my boxes through hell with the 4E-FE and there still perfect change the oil to something decent, make sure the shifter bushes/engine mounts are not damaged and youll be fine
