Best LSD for Circuit Racing - Using C56 case ??
TimD replied to Dingo Del's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
I run a KAZZ diff in mine, pretty certain it needs a refresh in the not too distant future, works well despite that. I would tend to disagree with altering the rear suspension and geo, I think if you're getting to that point you might as well go for something a bit newer that already has independent rear suspension from the factory. I really like the way mine handles, bags of grip and very predictable at the limit and beyond, I'm in no rush to change it, and all I have are meister-r coilovers and whiteline ARBs. -
Ok, I'll need to grab it and would like to test it's working before sending it, are you in a rush for it?
-
You should have just told him to find his own way back to the station, and sold the car to someone else!!

^^ neat idea for a road car, does it have a thermostat in it? Whilst it's good to keep on top of oil temps, having oil which is too cool is just as bad if not worse than it getting a bit hot.
-
I have one out of a MK2, what are they worth? Feel free to make me an offer.
-
Unless you're in a really hit country I wouldn't bother.. I have a 16 row cooler fitted to mine, which I have to cover with tin foil otherwise I can't get any heat into the oil. My car is solely used on track too.
-
If I was to vent the wastegate to atmosphere rather than back into the exhaust, is it much louder at WOT? Any have any issues at places like donington with this type of setup?
-
Anyone got one? Would like to compare it to the TONGS turbo I currently have fitted.
-
I wasn't trying to say they aren't upto the task on track, I run a DS1.11 pad in my WMS brakes, they're brilliant! It is a track car, and not road legal, so they only get used in anger. More than happy with the kit, and also the service from Keri is very good as well.
-
WMS with decent pads are more than adequate, especially for road use.
-
I got one for £20 is sat on the shelf awaiting a rebuild.. I'll get around to it sooner or later.
-
I have an innovate one, it's the sensor that makes it expensive and they are known to fail over time which is why I would rather pay a little extra and get one brand new.
-
You will need to compromise somewhere if you want a lid that will do both. I wear a Hedtec helmet (https://www.hedtec.co.uk/products/full-face-demon-hans/), but that wont be suitable for biking. For what it's worth, I've never had my lid checked at a track day.

I don't have an interior mirror either helps with view out of the car.

Haha.. it's a common mistake with the wide angle lens cameras. I have mine stuck to the roof just behind my head, seems to work ok, could do with being a little further forward. Bit heath robinson, it's stabilised with a shit tonne of zip ties!

You need to mount that camera way further forward, if I wanted to see a video of two bobbing heads I'd watch porn
