  1. How does it drive then? Any niggles or anything to report after the conversion? A word on the whole roll-cage thing.. A lot of you guys seem to fit Cusco bolt in cages and think that's a fix-all when it comes to roll over protection. Fitted properly I'm in no doubt this will be the case, but a lot of cages are fitted by drilling a few holes through the floor and bolting it in place. This is not enough, and there really isn't such a thing as a truly bolt in cage. The floor needs reinforcing, it's single skin and if you have a nasty roll the cage legs will just punch through the floor and su
  2. I "might" have one in my rubbish pile, came out of an EP82 and was working fine before I removed it. You're welcome to it for free if you can come and collect from Sheffield.
  3. ha.. I remember when I used to worry about splitting time with girlfriend and friends. Now it seems a lot easier to balance, maybe because most of my friends are also in relationships, so we either go out as couples, or us guys get together so infrequently it's never really an issue when it happens. I also play a lot of sport, so that helps with the whole guy time / time away from the other half. You've just got to do what you think is right, at 19 you've both still got a heap to learn.. Enjoy it, but don't get too caught up in the whole relationship thing, if it stops being fun then move
  4. What tyres were you on last year? There were plenty of cars running R888's / V70A's / AO48R's on Saturday.
  5. As above, looking for an amber indicator for a square headlamp EP8*. Could also use a bit of wiring from the plug too. Cheers Tim
  6. I bobbed upto to TOTB today hoping to see the car. I guess you're there just tomorrow? Good luck anyway, some badly driven civics there today, should be easy ;)
  7. I opted for a remote T piece, it's on the end of a bit of braided line. So far so good. The nice thing about alloy is that it's softer than the block. So you damage the fitting rather than the block!
  8. All my fuel system is -6 Well apart from the feed from the in tank pump to my swirl pot and return to the tank from my FPR. I went to my local hose shop and had all of my lines and fittings pressed on for about £100. Much cheaper than aeromotive type stuff and does just as good of a job. I went for aeromotive fittings on my oil cooler and regret it. A massive faff about, make sure you at least use Torques. The other cheaper stuff on eBay is really bad!

    Advice

This is none of your concern. If they buy it, use the blitz ecu and it goes pop then it isn't any of your business.
  10. You need to measure the outer-diameter of your pipe, and then find a filter suitable. You also need to make a note of the dimensions on the actual air filter too, because they're all different. There isn't a lot of room at the side of the car for an air filter, so it's not just a case of buying any old air filter and expecting it to bolt straight on.
  11. Was a great day, apart from the rain that stopped play for an hour or two. But it turned into a wonderful evening! Car went well, some teething problems, but I ended the day with some great laps. It goes well for only 140hp!
  12. Don't be so precious. Often times when it comes to proper brakes, they squeal and make noise, it's just the nature of the beast, because at slow speeds the pads rattle around in the caliper. The pads I had fitted to my M3 did it, people would often comment on how my brakes need changing, they didn't. I put up with it, because the performance they offered was better than anything else you could put in a standard caliper. Sometimes it can even be down to the way the pads have been bedded in as to whether or not they make noise.
  13. Squeaky brakes are for winners.. One has to wonder, if all you're using them for is sitting in traffic, why have fancy four pots fitted at all?
  14. Looks good! A word on waiting for parts, especially bespoke stuff. In my experience it always pays to be patient with parts, especially one essential to your build. It will be all worth it in the end, would you rather have a bunch of well made parts that might have taken longer to produce than you'd expected. Or a bunch of badly made parts that turned up within a week? Sacha always seems very customer focused, and while ever he's still around your parts will be warranted! Anyway, get this shiny garage queen up and running

  17. Nerves are beginning to jangle as the 19th gets closer. Final spanner checks and a quick bleed of the brakes on Friday night before an early morning hour or so drive to the venue. Spent a good portion of this week trying to figure out why my indicators wouldn't work. Fearing it was something I'd done with the wiring, this added to my nerves, turns out it was the Hazard Switch, so they're working now. Given that I can expect issues throughout the day, it'll be nice to be able to warn other drivers I'm slow/pitting. Looks like rain as well, that will separate the men from the boys.

    HELP!!

  19. I think I'm free on Sunday so providing the weather is nice I'll head north for the day. Likely to be there on my own so will do my best to come say hi to you Mike.
  20. Feel free to share what it was!!
  21. This is two days now? Which is the best day?
  22. If you want rid of the broken engine let me know and I might have it off you.
  23. If they are push on fittings you need to measure them yourself and find the hose with the correct internal diameter.
  24. It all depends on what fittings you have on you FPR, and fuel rail adapter.
