No point fitting a diffuser without a splitter, they work together. I'll be looking at running some aero on mine at some point. Splitter, flat foot and diffuser.

Speak with the insurer you earned 4 years of NCB with, they will still have record.

Looks like -8 to me.

I'm a member of a few forums, so I decided rather than faffing about with multiple build threads I'd just update a wordpress blog. Updated after this weekend: http://ep82.wordpress.com/2014/05/06/wires-wires-wires/

You know, there's a perfectly serviceable fuel tank already fitted to the car, piece of piss to fill as well, there's a door on the rear quarter and everything.. haha. Tart! ;) This is all I have in my spare wheel well so far. It's all wired up, just needs plumbing in now, and I can't decide whether or not to buy the fittings and do it all myself or have the local hydraulics place do it for me. We'll see. Where did you get your fittings from?
-
Looks shiny, but doesn't the tank have it's own system for fuel surge, it should do? You've also moved a lot of weight higher up in the car which doesn't make a great deal of sense either. I'm going to mount and wire my fuel system today as well, I have to cover it all up though otherwise it wont go through scrutineering. Didn't stop me buying fancy fittings though ;)

Si's Track EP91 Build - XXR 530's - 03/04/14
TimD replied to Si@Fiske's topic in EP91 Progress Blogs
Yep, they're 16's. -
M10 for a bumper?! Is it made of solid lead? A few M6 nuts and bolts will be more than sufficient. I replaced the plastic clips on mine with rivnuts and m6 allen bolts, plenty solid.

Have a Tongs fitted to my car, although I've yet to drive it in anger. I almost sold it and went TF035, but in the end decided to give it a go. For what I need to use the turbo for, and the amount of power I need a hybrid ct9 makes the most sense, for now. I need 145whp, that's it, I could probably get away with a standard CT9 for those figures, but I suspect it would run out of puff before the end of the rev range.

***GT Turbo EP82 Quadlight - very clean, original and unmodified***
TimD replied to Browner's topic in Cars For Sale
I'd really quite like this car.. Lovely looking thing. Good luck with the sale, I hope it goes to someone who will just appreciate it for what it is and not butcher the thing. -
Too much fuel?

1st Track time @ Japfest.... worried........
TimD replied to SRchris's topic in Performance & Track Days
Let quicker cars through, even if they 'shouldn't' be quicker. There will be a briefing you'll have to attend, pay attention in that and you'll be fine? How long is your session? It'll be over before you know it. -
I 'almost' bought one, then realised what an absolute waste of money it would have been.

You'll have knocked something, or disconnected a sensor and not connected it.

Tyres, they come with a set of China's finest 'Wung Ting Ditchfinders'.

Full respray going to town on the beast ep82

Stick a harness bar in the cage, much safer than having the harnesses at such an extreme angle. -
Because they're good? How many hours R&D will have gone into a Miltek system versus some chump in a garage welding your 'one off' exhaust up?
-
How did the mapping go?
-
Mandrel bends are a must, I've yet to come across a Powerflow franchise that doesn't crush bend your exhaust into submission. Buy off the shelf for peace of mind, Miltek for VW stuff.

I'm looking for the plastic covers that go over the nuts on the windscreen wipers. For a EP82 GT, not sure if they're the same on the Glanza. Cheers

I had a square setup, so 4 rear wheels, looked decent. -

A cheap one will cost you a heap of money to get right, and will no doubt have been scrimped on. The issue with something like the M3 is that, when it goes wrong, and they do go wrong, it's going to cost you a cheap Starlet GT to put right! I'm not sure I'd have chosen a Starlet over my M3 to drive on the road, ever. But, I didn't buy a convertible, so perhaps that's got something to do with it? I have an E39 530 Sport Touring now, and it's very similar to the M3 inside, exactly the same steering wheel for example. It's comfy, and eats miles, just as bad on fuel as the M3 though but that's by the by. I'm not fearful of the engine imploding due to incorrect valve clearances, I don't need to worry about the floor cracking either. It's also only worth a quarter of my M3's value, so if the worse happens it isn't the end of the world. If it were me, and I didn't need to tow, then I'd have the M3, and suck up the running costs. Driving one is an event, it's a proper car after all, and I do miss mine from time to time. I've been having a car discussion lately, and came to the conclusion that 3 cars is the perfect number: - Van / Tow vehicle (T4 or similar) - Daily / Fun (MX5 or similar) - Track / Race Car (In my case, Starlet GT) Good luck with whatever it is you choose.. S2000's are cheap as chips these days!
