Anyone got one laying about they know works? I think mine has gone kaput.

If it's a Tongs then they're pretty sort after. It's just a hybrid turbo to me though, so not sacred, I'll be changing mine for something slightly bigger at some point.

It's a Tongs Hybrid

You aren't putting anything out with a £20 fire extinguisher. The club level stuff is also about as useful as emptying a bottle of mineral water over a house fire. How many track days do you do a year? I'm all for safety, but come on. Do you actually need a plumbed in fire extinguisher which really should be able to be activated from outside the car. Or, do you just want people to look in and go, oooo00 he's got a plumbed in fire extinguisher, he must be fast. Whilst the car is stood static and you're polishing it at Japbanzai 2015 or whatever show you're at? You lot don't half make me ch

Can you choose what to log? If so, just log one thing and see if it works. If it does, keep adding them until it fails.

I would, but Brands is miles away and I really need to save some money. Providing the car survives next week, I'll be looking to book something in September I think, will post on here where incase you're up for it! -
You should be able to get everything from ebay.. I wanted it all in black and I couldn't find a straight joiner for cheap anywhere. I had to have something on for mapping so I stumped up the cash money for delivery from SFS which was more than the hose! Here's what I bought 54mm 90 degree bend 54mm SFS joiner 55 to 60mm silicon joiner ITG Filter It's tight, and I have a remote oil filter setup as well! You will have to cut the hose yourself, there are plenty of tutorials out there for that, I just used a jubilee clip as a guide. It wasn't perfect, but more than good enough.

Mine is 54mm as well, I ended up just making my own with some bits of silicon, a joiner and a ITG air filter.

That's an A3 but the science is the same.. I haven't looked at where I can route brake ducts, if after the 19th the brakes over heat I'll investigate that. -

How is the ducting attached to the back of the disk, this is what a friend did.. -

Sad news about your Dad, seems like you're getting on with stuff though which is what I'm sure he would want. In regards to the brake ducts, the difficult part of this is actually getting the flow of air into the bell of the disk, you don't want to just be firing it at the side of the disk. Also, have you actually tested the car to the point where the brakes overheat? If you haven't then just go and drive the thing and see, you might be wasting your time is all. Book a track day and enjoy it, if the brakes get hot, manage them as best you can and then look at resolving that issue for the ne -
I didn't realise this was an old thread.. sorry. If a Rota fits over the top of them I'd guess a TD wheel would.
-
Team Dynamics wheels have pretty decent brake clearance, so don't write them off altogether. But why the change to KSport when you have Wilwood calipers already? Unless they have broken I would imagine the difference in braking being negligible.

Does the plate surround come with the plate?
-
Nope, sorry. The bit is with my car and that's at the other side if Sheffield, to where I live and work. I'll be working on it all day on Sunday however.
-
I think I have one. In Sheffield and welcome to collect on Sunday.
-
Are you ever in Sheffield? What's the lowest you'll take? PM me if you'd like.
-
As above.. Still looking for one of these. I would prefer it to be local, but let me know if you've got something and I can arrange collection one way or the other. I want to avoid shipping, they're just too fragile. I'm Sheffield based, but have friends up and down the country who I'm sure can help out.

What's wrong with the forged one you've already got in it?

Why not have a look at some of the entry level Stack mechanical gauges. Speak with Think Automotive they'll supply you everything you need to fit them. The cheapy electric ones aren't likely to be very well calibrated. Some might say your better off with no gauge at all, than with something cheap and unknown.
-
Yeh, I have an oil cooler fitted.. Temps are manageable though, especially if you have a temp gauge. Just come in when it starts to get a bit warm.

Moved out when I was 25, it felt long over due! 30 now, still in the same place mainly because my rent is still the same as it was when I moved out. So it's stupid cheap, which allows me to save a fair amount each month. I'll buy somewhere sooner or later, but I'm in no rush.

You need to measure the size of the inlet on your turbo before ordering anything. No good ordering one for a Starlet, if your car is fitted with a larger turbo. The kit will be for a CT9, not what you have.
