  1. There are two traders which currently offer these services here on ukso... Check out there websites... Google Tuning Developments or Race-Tech Motorsport I went down the Race-Tech Route and am very pleased... Looking at a map and seeing who is closer to you may also be a wise thing to do!
  2. We are having to be a bit more firm recently. As it does seem people aren't afraid to jump on the bandwagon. Its not a Zoo, as much as we DONT WANT to have to enforce rules, its a small minority which makes it so we have too.. UKSO is nearly a year old now, we are constantly developing and having to approach and deal with things in much different ways.... There have been major changes in the way things will be handled that were put in place last month, when a lot of abuse between members kicked off... Anyways, I don't want to clog this thread anymore. Hope Nick/Ricky sort it out...
  3. The same rules apply for all traders. We aren't covering anything up. If you have a problem with Race-Tech's work why haven't you started your own thread or PM'd race-tech. Rather then just leaving some shitty off topic remark in someone elses thread? Nothing to do with king socks... Its very simple to understand really, what are you struggling with? Your telling me... "Ripped me off a few years ago" "A few of my race-tech parts have been shit as well I have noticed" is constructive??? Really... That's just slander... Not on topic, Not Relivant. If you have had an issue. Talk to said trader, if your still not happy, MAKE A THREAD. Don't just pipe up in another members thread... I assure you any bad feedback threads have been closely moderated and any random abusive comments, with no information or details whatever will be removed when there completely irrelevant to the original issue... If any threads are left open, when more then one person is giving bad feedback, it may well be due to the fact a pattern or the same thing has happened more then once. IE, if it turns out there are 4-5 customers with the SAME problem with the SAME trader, then by all means post up in the SAME thread.... If you have had an issue with forged conrods availability with Race-Tech then by all means post your experience... Not a big deal, not a big cover up, not power happy moderation....
  4. Was it anything to do with this members issue with a part being out of stock... NO Was it anything constructive... NO Was it just a add my 2cents because I have nothing better to do... YES If you have a problem with a trader, PM or Talk to them first, if your still not happy start a thread with your own problem, don't change the subject in someone elses thread. This thread is to try and help Nick sort out an issue with some forged conrods... Its very simple! Do enlighten me on the hiding stuff under the carpet and big lie remarks also....? An example would be fantastic....? Same as above. If you are unhappy with a Trader, and you've tried to sort it out via PM or on the phone and your still not happy, feel free to make a thread.... Don't just add slander to someone elses thread.....

    BHP Claims

just laugh it off... I do...
  6. The psyical bootlid is ok.... Fitment wise... The bumper and plate surround haven't been polished this year... They will match perfect as the paint is out the same tin... Custom Fabricated Mounts... Eventually.... Cheers Lew!
  7. Thanks for the kind words fellas... @Rbz. - On the glanza, the top light support bracket is flimsy as fuck, was never any strength there anyways. The bar that goes just under the lights, is again very flimsy. The bottom square bar is where the strength is. Which has been replaced with a stainless steel bar. So although it doesn't look it, its stiffer then it was before. But as said above, the suspension mountings are the crucial part here... Regarding the turbo blanket, just hugs the turbo (nice tight fit if you get the right size) and two big springs hold it in place. Easy Peasy! Look on youtube, people hold there hands on the blankets when there cars are on the dyno doing pulls at big boost @JayC - I have a friend who is a polisher. Check him out, he is the dogs at it... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pugz-polishing/305230949574161 ok, been busy with work a lot atm, but the car has been getting fettled a bit... Ironing out a few kinks mainly... Got the Rad Polished.... Just waiting on some new clips from Roose Motorsport and then its going back on... The biggest ballache, known to man has to be this bootlid though! Got my hands on a fibreglass bootlid... Quick fit up and it seemed ok, was a fair bit of bodyshop preparation to do though, it certainly isn't a spray some paint on job! Then realising the manufacturer had made several mistakes! The holes weren't threaded for the hinge mounts, the threaded rivots for the gas struts were the wrong thread and span inside the bootlid. You name it, It fought me! Anyways, managed to get it somewhere close and Adz gave it the treatment it needed and its now painted... Altho not perfect and still needs more work! Spoiler also got the paint, as pink wasn't my style haha. Got online and ordered a 4mm Hard Coated Poly Rear Window.... Soooo Light its a joke! I guess going to 3mm would be even lighter but I wanted it to be as close to stock as possible! Got the measuring tape out, drill and dremel and cut some holes for you know what.... Then several bolts and some sealant later, it looked like this.... Then about 30mins later, it looked like this! Still need to get the plastic window glued in, clean the entire car. etc ready for JAE. Still need to get the duck spoiler resprayed, but yet to separate it from the original bootlid, so don't no how easy or hard that is going to be! Should be easy enough, in theory!
  8. if the only thing uve change is a boost gauge/vac line... Make sure the vac line isn't split anywhere and u have no leaks!
  9. get ya results on the leaderboard mate!
  10. Really smart car, hard work and getting better results must be very rewarding... Keep us posted with this, very interesting read!
  11. need to shift a bit faster to get a good 0-60mph time dude...

  13. Here you go Ben:
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b039whds/Rip_Off_Britain_Series_5_Episode_5/ This episode if your interested in viewing.... 11:55mins in for the story.... Rip Off Britain is basically watchdog but with 3 posh ladies...
  15. Validated Leaderboard Result!
  16. My Garrett is on a race-tech manifold that isn't braced... Not had an issue in 3 years... If you use decent grade stainless steel, there is no need for a brace.... If you saw how they were made, and how much abuse they are to make (drilling and cutting them). Going thru disc and drill bits all the time... Youd understand why they don't need a brace ;)
  17. Was about to rip you then for having an automatic... However, having a leg that isn't up to the job is a perfectly adequate excuse You will get a good deal too, auto starlet turbos generally go for 50% less then manual ones! Welcome to UKSO, its a good laugh on here, hope you enjoy your stay! Have a nosey around for some ideas for your tinkering!
  18. kidv is running one... top mounted... http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/57630-kidvs-sta2let-big-phat-dirty-blown-update-180813/ In terms of coldside and core... there is next to NO difference compared to a TD04L... The exhaust wheel however is ALOT smaller, so the spool will be a lot better!
  19. Another item I can fully recommend and fresh out of china.... Turbo Blanket Went for a drive in my car, could no longer see the heatwave coming out of the vent in my cruise bonnet and could still touch it after a few tickles of boost. I am gobsmacked. How they hold the heat in so well and how they don't catch fire. Is Impressive! Can fully recommend these for anyone with a top mounted turbo kit, that's for sure!
  20. Got something unique that will outperform cars that are worth over £100,000 Not a bad deal tbh... However spending £6k on a civic without boosting it I don't understand ehy burny
  21. cus people don't appreciate them and the patience required to tune a car to that level.... get bored or put themselves into debt with them and then just cba and throw the towel in...
  22. Let me just bring to your attention a few results and points Mr D..... Firstly. string and aaddzz123's starlet GT's... String pulled 242.9bhp on Monster Motorsport's Dyno before TD bought it off them... (Dyno Dynamics Roller) aaddzz123 bought the turbo kit off String, and got his car mapped on another bone stock 4efte on the same ecu, and pulled 242.3bhp... Secondly, Hawwy's Glanza.... Hawwy bought a black glanza from hough39.... Spoke to hough39, his car pulled 313bhp at 1.3bar on a dyno dynamics roller It went into to race-tech and pulled 303bhp at the same boost and on the same map... Thirdly, ro55ifumi When he was running a ct9... Pulled 186bhp on a Dyno Dynamics Roller Then went on to pull 188bhp on Race-Techs dyno at the same boost pressure.... Forthly, My Own Glanza..... Back when I was running 1.4bar of boost on a pretty much identical turbo kit to yourself Matt. I made 344bhp. You made 330bhp? At the same boost? Which is not bad for a forged 5e with a standard head... Lastly... Are you telling me Ryan-11, Mark1991, Browner's cars are all not believable figures being over 340bhp...? Tbh, I couldn't give a monkeys what my car or anyone elses car pulls on any dyno, there a tuning tool. However I don't think the margin your talking about exists, or if there is a margin it certainly isn't as big as you sound like you want it to be!
  23. Now that. Was funny.
  24. Not Really..... A Cars History, how its been treated effect that massively... There certainly one of the most reliable motors out there on the roads even today... imo...
