Hello guys my glanza is idleing prity high as if the choke is staying on?..its idleing around 1200rpm even when the cars up to temp..If i go for a long drive then pull over to let it cool down it idles at 1200rpm then after around 5min orr so it works its way down to 950rpm (sometime below)..Now im not sure if its the idle controll valve? orr the throttle position sensor? Also i've noticed my temp gauge in the car go's right down to the C when im driveing and then go's up to the half way point with the fans off in the car but if i have the fans on in the car it only go's quarter of the way up? madness Could this have anything to do with the idleing? orr have i got 2 sensors fucked? 1 been the throttle position sensor orr idle controll valve and the temp gauge problem been another sensor lol but which one?

So i just had to buy another one Missed the boost so much i was like a heroin addict wanting its fix!!! Anyways a few month ago my mate bourght a white 98spec glanza with the intention to forage ect. And a couple of storys sort he took it off the road and we started stripping it i.e the interior, engine,ect basically the full car lol.But then out of the blue he changed his mind he's always had a soft spot for the Mk1 Focus RS with him owning one befor and a very nice clean low miles one was going prity cheap.So off he went and viewed it and fell in love with it and to be honest i cant fault him its beautiful!!..So he was left with a glanza in bits in his garage lol so why i had the chance i thought id try my luck and ask him if i could buy it but abit cheaper as it was in bits lol so we come to agreement that we were both happy with and now hopefuly im going to pick it up on monday Unfortunatly i only have the 1 pick but i will take more soon as its in my hands Ohh and its also runnig a JAM ECU so non of that shitty fuel cut more pics to follow

I think Tim from TB developments done some inlet temp tests on an ARC top mount befor running 1bar on a ct9 and after only 6min or so of full throttle the heat was that much Tim said he dosnt know how the engine coped!!!! i cant remember what the temperature was but it was high lol at the end of the day its a 1.3 engine with a little turbo thats runnig 1bar so every bit of cool air you can throw at it do so and a fmic it the best way to go if you want the best performance

Haha i always kept my cat for this very reason it pissed me off when i tryed 3times to get an M.O.T on my glanza and it failed everytime on emissions i even turned the FPR up on my car so it was runnig abit rich and it stil failed put the cat back on and it passed with flying colours Also try reseting the ecu befor you take it in it should run abit richer which will help it pass

Just put the cat back on for the M.O.T takes 2mins to fit save's fucking about going back and forth to the m.o.t centre.
