  1. cheap vodka works, only suggest it if you are really stuck should do the trick until you get a heater
  2. i very much doubt it will cost your mum £400 to insure it,does she have her own car?if so i would imagine she will be using her ncb on that car, talking from experience evos are not cheap to insure period. even if you find an insurance company that will let you drive other vehicles, i would imagine that the cover would not got to the extent of an evo, i tried this and failed, once your mum has insured the evo there will more than likely be something in the small print to say that nobody under the age of 25 can drive it. all this seems to be alot of hassle just to be able to drive a 4
  3. get a hair dryer on the rad hoses thermostat housing and radiator to thore it out a bit then add some coolant to the rad, then start squeezing the hoses and it will start working its way through.my car did the exact same thing the other day as ive been topping up with water due to a leaky water pump. once you have some coolent in there it will start to defrost the icy water you have in there. once you have done the above start the car and turn it off again as it shoud free up the water pump and move some more coolant round.
  4. instead of posting on here chuck some warm clothes on and get out the garage and finish building your car. that is all
  5. polish it mate, easy enough to do just time consuming.
  6. @ phil your right it doesnt, tried and tested @ tyrone make sure you run the whole length of the cover when sanding otherwise it will not come out smooth just dimpled and once you paint it that will become apparant.
  7. as said above blow torch lump of wood and a lump hammer, take the wheel off to do it and dip the wheel in some water after it has cooled to check for a leak around the rim.however that wheel will not look pretty and will more than likely create some wheel wobble especially if fitted to the front, i would suggest doing the above and putting the wheel on the back of the car
  8. any iidea on the width of your current wheels? 6j 6.5j? personally i hate spec 2's they are crap in the wet and dont wear very good.
  9. glad you got the avcr ok bud, those wheels look sweet, now get it built ;)

  16. i believe they need to be pressed out and back in.
  17. they look to wide imo they stick out to much, but if you like them fit them.
  18. do not laquer it,if you laquer it, after a fe weeks it will start to oxidise underneath the laquer and you will be back at stage 1 and you will have to polish it all over again. if you want to seal it have a google for zoop seal it will last beetween 2 and 3 years before it goes dull and you need to repolish.
  19. if it has been a month tell him where to go, he may have fitted it the day he got it and been running it for a month, now it is broken he wants his money back.if it was damaged when it got to him he should have got in contact with you as soon as possible.
  20. after seeing sparkys mani in the flesh the other day i would go for a racetech mani.the quality is immense and as for looks i want one to put on my wall just to look at lol. if you are going to get an exhaust would it not be cheaper to have one custom made they can add baffles in the box then so it will breath as best as possible without it being loud.
  21. brake cylinders are more than likely shagged.the seals go on them and they will not hold or release the hanbrake properly. pop the drum of and peel back the rubber on the cylinder if it leaks fluid its had it.
  22. good job, bet your glad too have it back on the road again, ENJOY
  23. i was allways under the impression you needed tig to weld alli?am i wrong?hmmmm i will have a go later. as for gas nip down to your local pub and ask them if you can buy a c02 gas bottle off them as they get it for pennys, i paid £20 for a full size c02 bottle, size is 120cm tall x 23 cm diameter, i have had that bottle for well over a year.
