  1. ;) Phil.
  2. that breeding conditions must have room for movement because mine have bred for a second time here lol. would need to get a decent test kit, tbh its probably long overdue. regretting planting that big broadleafed fecker right the front, bloody stupid place for it, but not sure about moving it as its probably well rooted. but it totally hides the annubis which is starting to grow through it. see, aquascaping balls up 101, didnt plan it out very well lol. Phil.
  3. head light adjuster screws, all of them or especially the main big lower ones for adjusting the angle in the absence of a motor. Phil.
  4. ^^^ok cool man, i'll get a chat with Annita re. planted bulbs and the blue one. yeah he has some class stuff, although the water parameters probably need to be tighter than mine. Phil.
  5. ^^^watched Priest last week and really enjoyed it, it got mixed reviews in work but i liked it. Underworld - it was only in 3D here which utterly utterly ruined it for me. I thought the movie was great but the picture and colour and quality of the 3D was complete pish. Phil.
  6. yes they dont get that big, but i refer you to the experts below, 48" tank size minimum. http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/content.php?sid=4725 they are beautiful tho, i love them, but after reading that article not even my dad's tank is big enough for one let alone my own, so i can safely say i wont be adding any lol. my next move is a bulb change, think the marine T5s are doing more harm than good as mark and i discussed the other nite. time for some planted bulbs me thinks. also, fancy some blue shrimp and yellow shrimp from beeshrimp.co.uk, they am uber! Phil.
  7. couple of things man - not sure about tropical gobys, but the marine's sift the sediment, if tropicals are the same, i'd ask about the size of your gravel for him, may be too big. that humbug is class, as mark said, he had one, they're uber! i was reading up on red tails last week, they're not meant to be kept in anything less than a 7ft tank as they get so big but mark never had any issues with his. be careful gettin into the aquascaping side of things - the more i look into it the more AMAZING it looks and i get these bad ideas for my own tank and thoughts of relocating some of my plants to aid the aesthetics!!! lol its crazy. my java moss has utterly exploded, and all without the aid of CO2! finally, can we get some pics of the over all set ups man?? im nosey to see how the complete tanks look, i wana see what u see!!! i love the look of a whole tank! Phil.

  21. welcome to my nightmare bro. this is the exact reason im now up to my tits in debt for a daily driver - oil leaks. for the life of us here we cant get mine to stop. and the longer it sits in the shed, the less enthusiasm i have to fix it. so i can appreciate your pain bro. it would be an utter shame to break this motor, so im hoping u can get it sorted nice and easy man. Phil.
  22. ^^^^^agreed dude. thats very interesting man, never even considered a UV set up on a tropical tank, food for thought! thanks for the info dude!! @Leeroy - looking good man!!! very nice set up! Phil.
  23. i'm coming for a spin. period. Phil.
  24. ok some of mine from tonight. as you see can compared to earlier pics in the thread, the vegetation has really taken off, especially the moss. unfortunately the nice pink plant i put in was utterly shredded by the shrimp, seems i need waxy finishes to tolerate them feckers! you will also see that yesterday i had to relocate one of the fighters into the breeding trap, the shrimp in his cell were battering his fins, wee bastards. you wouldn't guess there's easily well well over a hundred fish in there if not 200 from these pics!!! useless! i mean, there are 40 or so blue rasboras, about 50 odd mosquito rasboras, about 60 neons, 19 cardinals, a danio, a bunch of ember tetras, ottos and pygmy corries in there! so much hiding! lol adult RCS decided to cheat to bring them out of hiding, a little flake goes a long way... i think next time i'll get a rake of ember tetras again, they are far less shy than the neons and cardinals, but man i do love cardinals. Phil.
