some research into vintage motoring modification or old school hotrods will infact tell you that this can be done, but it has to be done PROPERLY by people who know what they are doing. what do u think they did before shortened springs were available. however, i strongly urge you NOT to do this. as you dont know what you're doing. as stated above, for the sake of £60, its safest to buy springs. i would never recommend anyone to cut them. but as streetracer has already stated, it CAN be done, but it would not be suitable for your SR, it is NOT a practice i would ever recommend for mode
