  1. I think it's more a shit Ebc tbh as that other lad said, looking at other people online not many can get it Working right...as I say it seemed to hold 1.2 bar fine on the Evo it came off, however that was relying on the in built Boost readout as the car didn't have a gauge lol. I'll try my mbc on my day off and see if that's more stable, good job I got the Ebc for free lol
  2. Yeah, using the dipswitch at the back? If its not me setting up thr thing wrong, its proper shit lol
  3. Looks quality lol, my wastegate sits at the top and my pipe is a short straight one to avoid hitting the decat but covers my gearbox in soot, fancy making me one to avoid the decat and go down to the bottom?
  4. Right, a good hour up and down the bypass and still no better Tried the learn mode in 3rd 4th and 5th and messed about with the offset up and down and still spiking 0.6 bar seems to spike less than 0.8 but it still does spike, which made Me wonder again I've got a 0.6 spring, yet this only boosts to 0.4 without the Ebc :/ I'm wondering if it's struggling up at 0.8? Although I doubt it because it makes 0.8, it's made 1 bar even(just tested it by turning up and it hit 1 on the gauge then cut furiously lol) so again I think it may be the Ebc, gonna use my mbc on My day off see of that's any bet
  5. Really? It came off an Evo before mine and held 1.2 bar solid but I've read a lot of problems with them online :/ Any recommendatiOns? Am I better using my mbc for now?
  6. Is that the best way then keri rather than emptying as said or will it cause problems with using dot 5.1 as its not been changed since I got it as a pretty much fresh import last year? And ah I see, where do I get this coloured stuff local lol?
  7. Gonna go to halfords for some dot 5.1 soon, how much will I need to bleed the brakes out once I've fitted braided lines
  8. I've got a Zisco as mentioned above, except i got Zisco to weld an extra lambda boss in mine in case I got a wideband, has a bung in it atm though in case you don't use a wideband. No more than 1500 miles on it as I don't use the car daily and have now swapped to an external wastegate setup, PM me if you're interested
  9. Hmm I see, sure its the ebc causing some erratic boosting as its fine in low boost mode? I might redo the learning phase and see where that gets us
  10. Really? Tbh thats fucking shit lol, I paid out all the cash on a wastegate setup to stop it overboosting I think its this ebc though to say its meant to be decent a lot of people seem to have trouble, not sure whether to keep trying with it or just run my manual boost tee lol
  11. Not 100% sure mate but I assume it was causing my fuel cut symptoms, not sure why no EML though? I had it yesterday in 4th and 5th and it spiked maybe 0.2 bar over the set boost. I assume its related to the fact say I set it at 0.6 bar and it boosts fine to 0.6, set it at 0.8 bar and it boosts to 0.7 low gears, 0.8 in high on my gauge but the readout on the controller flclkers mainly at 0.7 :/
  12. Right, need a little help, my Trust Greddy Profec A seems to be causing boost spikes, which i'm struggling to fix. Here is the install manual for the EBC: http://www.greddy.co..._AB_helpdia.pdf Now I have connected it so the bottom port goes to the turbo, the left nport to the top of the wastegate, the right piece is connected to the inlet manifold(via a t piece with the other end going to the bottom of the wastegate.....the manual doesn't say to tee it off but I assume this will be ok?) Now thew operating manual is here: http://www.greddy.co...le/PRofec_A.pdf As can be seen above there
  13. any more pics of both faces of the boss? May take this if its bigger than mine so covers the gap?
  14. Remove it as in so you dont have it screaming? You need to make a pipe going from the wastegate dump port which returns into the decat
  15. An update on this, seen my boost spike a bit today in 5th on high boost, so assume the Ebc is indeed causing a Spike, any ideas what to do? Haven't noticed it at low boost mode tho
  16. If its same design as standard iddy or camskill mate
  17. You got any more bits lying about for sale? If there's owt else I need might make a trip down for this
  18. Is the bracket with the armrest?
  19. Ah I see, well it dont seem to over boost, If it does its by like 0.5 bar if that and then it pegs it back down, if I'm to get an Ecu and run it 1 bar if it did overboost that tiny amount it shouldn't cause any problems should it, as long as its not like when I had an internal wastegate and when set at 0.4 it would creep to fuel cut? Lol Tomorrow I'll link to the manuals and explain my installation make sure its correct?
  20. Didn't mean to sound arsy mate sorry if that's what you thought lol Yeh the controller can do that but obvs if I was running 0.8 I need to set the limit at 0.9 which is no good as Fuel cut is 0.85 lol How you mean all cars are different? It has a lerner feature where you do one run to learn the Stock Boost and one to learn the boost curve which I did, although sometimes the readout on the gauge says 0.8 and the Ebc will flicker between 0.7 and 0.8, aside from that though it was working fine? How do you mean though it could easily kill the engine im scared now lol
  21. Controller isn't shutting it down the controller drops to stock boost of it reaches an Alarm level set by me, it doesn't just cut off Body controller has been wired up per the manuals and the learn mode has been carried out, what else could be wrong? Also, how could I kill the engine it's not going mentally over Mate, so if I installed a pnp Ecu at 1 bar if it spiked to 1.05 occasionally that wouldn't be the end of the world
  22. I was gonna say, keep the Cusco, can't adjust the whiteline on the car, you can with the cusco
  23. The thing is though I used to always see the eml, sometimes even before it cut in 5th? As for the boost controller inducing spikes it could be, my Controller has an offset rather than a gain I think, it says in the manual "offset should be used in external wastegate mode to ensure the boost controllers boost readout matches that of your own boost gauge" Now when we were setting it up we turned it up to match my gauge and it cut, so We left it at 0, but could lower it to minus numbers? There's also a dip switch on the back for 'when overboost occurs' It does seem to have stopped now I've tu
