morgey is right lads. I have krissy b old c52 box and it has the extra flange bit.. so russel you have a c56 gearbox.. can test it when yours is back. but I had a c56 ie no extra flange bit and could only do 101 in third. now im hitting 109 in third both at 7200.

when u give the car the beans and on track, its in its element, totally amazing LSD, just got to get used to it.

where would people like to meet then?? Essex,kent theres quite a few starlets.

yes they clunk, but IMO ive had a quaife, its better at cornering and traction then the quaife but yes is noisy and clunks at full lock parking manuvoures. Once your used to it and you realise your pushing much harder then before through bends, you accept the clunks.. it will improve your car no end.

do you see any visible traces of oil? might be a seal that's gone

take sump off and take some pictures, it soon tell if its forged or not.. 253 at a bar on a td04 is a great result, but who tuned it?

I gave up with the arty farty, paint just did the engine and get power then sort niggles out. Once you drive it once tuned it helps with the determination to carry on

been a while since updated.. but over the last week ive managed to finally fit my oil temp and pressure gauges with a sandwich plate and no leaks too which is a bonus. the TMD sprint car was a 4e pal.. maybe the shell but the original engine was sold whilst dave was still around..

got a c pillar bar from Jamie.. fast communication, and great postage service.. would buy again and recommend him too any other future buyers.

dan used a mr2 turbo engine and gearbox.. but its a lot more complex then mounts mate.. strengthening is the key and most important aspect like adam said above.
