  1. Our new discs are intended to work better on trackdays as they have thicker castings. Details are TBC very soon....
  2. Really? I found Greenstuff crap when cold, then unpredictable as they warmed up - always snatching a wheel etc! Redstuff seem to warm up more evenly and appear better than Greens when stone cold too..... I've not run Yellowstuff personally, have other people found Yellowstuff is better from cold than Redstuff? If so that's 100% the opposite of the EBC information. DS2500 is apparently better from cold than Yellowstuff and better when hot too!
  3. Actually Red is fast road/trackday, Yellow is VERY fast road/trackday/full race.... you've got them the wrong way round, this is a common mixup for some reason!
  4. EBC Reds and Yellows get good feedback, EBC Greens are not up to it really, but Ferodo DS2500 gets the best feedback of the common fast road/trackday pads we have supplied. We are testing a new heavy duty disc to worth with the OEM Toyota (Turbo) calipers and are a better way to spend your cash than EBC's discs. They are aimed at people more interested in performance, and less interested in bling (grooves do very very little with modern pads).
  5. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/other-models/porsche-962-road-registered/274683 Would I sell a few spare organs for this car? Maybe....just maybe.
  6. Bummer!!! Hope you get things sorted quickly and smoothly though... :-)
  7. Both are in the pipeline!
  8. Cheers guys! There is a top secret plan for a rear kit, no need to mix and match calipers......
  9. PMs replied to, got a few more to do too!
  10. Normally 275-280mm in 15's, and 295-300mm in 16's - applies to nearly all wheels. There are the odd makes like Compomotive or Team Dynamics where they leave a bit more room and you can sometimes get 300mm inside a 15" for instance...or deeper (rear wheel drive) offset ones like TVR use where our 15" kit is a 300mm one.
  11. I just spotted this! The OP has had WMS stuff for ages - in this case the PDF profiles we produced are handy because you can send them to someone you want to buy wheels from and ask them to see if your brakes will fit before buying the wheels! (+/- a few mm of course!!!)
  12. I'm trying to get a handle on exactly which discs were fitted as standard to which EP8# and EP9# series cars, both UK and JDM. I think the pads change as well, so need that too! It seems like the EP7# and EP8# all use one type of pad, but the EP9# uses a different pad for all discs? Here's the "UK info" I have access to, but it MAY be wrong or have a bit of JDM in there too!!!! Anyone got more confirmed disc info and models to add? Wms

Hi guys - have indeed got a lot on my plate, the kiddo means I do most of my work in the middle of the night!!! Baby on one knee, laptop on the other! I'm working back through all the old PMs and once everyone has had a reply I'll start replying to the replies to the replies...if that makes sense...
  14. Cool.... DS2500 are not a lot more expensive than Yellowstuff in WMS-fit (maybe 20%ish more?) which is handy, but in OEM fit there's a bigger difference and it's something like an extra 75% to go DS2500 over Yellowstuff - shame really.
  15. PM sent to the original poster. Liam, how did the two compare from stone cold?
  16. I would stick to plain discs, and either go for EBC Red/Yellow as they work well, or one step up in price is the Ferodo DS2500 which gets better feedback than EBC stuff does - but at an increased price. All these bits are in our WMS trader section here, see my sig (although I'll have to check the latest prices, especially with EBC as they change them constantly!)
  17. PM's replied to guys. :-)

    stiff pedal

Depending on the pedal box design (I've not looked at them very closely!!!) if the pedals share a common shaft and both pedals are suddenly stiff, I would just take a peek at the shaft / bushes etc?
  19. Sure, I'll send you a PM - you can see prices here too (pick the 55mm or 54mm hubs): http://www.ukstarletowners.com/forum/234-wms-brakes/ Discs with the kits are one-peice, but we're planning to launch rotor/bell discs in the future as a retor-fit upgrade/option for the kits.
  20. If you look in our WMS trader section we've got downloadable/printable templates you can use to see if our 4-pot kits fit. Chances are the 275x22 or 277x25 kits will fit, not very likely the 295x26 one will though - but you never know!
  21. ....but you did have the calipers upside down to start with Liam! Sometimes they have four nipples per caliper, but when they have two nipples and two blanks the nipples go at the top. :-)
  22. When I was a kid my dad got www.corbeau-seats.com to make a one-off "kiddie race seat" which he fitted to a steel frame and sat me in the middle of a Datsun 240Z 2-seater!!!!! Those were the (health and safety) days!
