  5. I ordered some M12x1.25 100mm long bolts but there too long. Going to get some 80mm bolts and that should do the job
  6. Engine went back in today! Should be in the Guinness book of records for the amount of times I've had a starlet engine in and out!! Updates to come at the end of the month

    Engine Stand

    What size bolts are you guys using to attach your block to the stand? And where are you mounting it! Any pics would be great! Cheers, Charlie
  11. Wasn't knocking bud. The pistons are fooked from DET and I don't know the extent of the damage to the block or head yet!

  13. Fucked forged motor I got from Rob Ebbs is out now. Going to strip it down and see what i can save! Built up the standard engine from Socks and hopefully will fit this sat! Just waiting on a standard crank pulley and an inlet gasket from the lads at ID-Workz

  15. Not a Mini! You'll have more problems with that, than you would owning a starlet
  16. I would just concentrate on finding yourself a nice shell in a good condition first! Can always add mods after!
  17. If it was a brand new pump it would have had a blob of grease on it, so when you fitted and cranked her over you would get a vacuum and draw the oil in. Try this, remove your oil filter, get a long length of silicone hose and put it over the oil filter hole (where the filter screws on) Pour oil into the top of the hose and have someone crank the engine over at the same time. If that doesn't work, your pump is knackered.
