My new HKS turbo timer (Type 0) requires being plugged into the handbrake 12v warning light. Does anyone know what colour wire this would be behind the dials, or should I just route it to the actual handbrake area? I imagine that's easier. Let me know what you've done if you've fitted one Cheers

All the locals turned up late, me and one other from miles away got there about an hour before them. The standard looking cars were then dumped at the front and everyone walked off, leaving mine stuck at the back. Not only that, but I couldn't do track time as I misplaced my licence, so sold it to a friend. We registered and paid another £10 to be a passenger. When going back to the car, he had left the registration stuff back in the sign on room, wasting lots of time. Not only that, he asked his friend to remove the loose objects from his car for the track. His friend took his helmet out the car and walked off with it, so we couldn't go on the track at all! Wasn't a good start to the day

Cheers, I think it was hard to spot as our stand was organised pretty badly! And I love that car, digital dash. I'm over on the MSC and spoke to the bloke about his car but never caught him on the day. We want it on the MSC stand at JAE

An alternative pad is Carbotech, which I know lots of high powered (400hp+) cars run. They do make pads for the starlet too! £140 odd a set tho

That's what i've done. Jap on the back, US on the front, but I still think the US one is too big! Not sure if running a smaller one is worth the risk of a £60 fine.. saying that, my front plate is in my windscreen

Standard Jap import is 13"x6.5", but you can legally have American import which is 12"x6"

Yellow pads are pretty good. Great when cold, amazing when hot, just keep an eye on them as cracks appeared in mine after a couple of years.

At Japfest 2, there are only two 20 minute sessions which are the Novice and Intermediate ones. The rest of the day is the advanced open pit sessions which are about 4 hours long. My CRN grooved disks with EBC yellow pads warped after 15 minutes, but they were being hammered. I've got EBC disks and pads this time. I didn't have an oil cooler fitted and had no issues with over heating there, just give the car a service and make sure it's healthy enough to get abused. And finally, make sure it isn't louder than 98db. Mine registered at 98.4 and had to bung it

Still £700 notes cheaper than Elephant. I was paying around a grand for my first V and that was with more age / NCD!
