  1. I almost thought this thread was to announce you were breaking it! Welcome to the BMW club, they're awesome daily drivers. I have an aftermarket system on my 530D M Sport and it sounds like a jet (big whoosh sound)! If you opt for a Milltek then come to ID-Workz we are an authorissuper aped and can offer the exhausts are great prices! Ps. Glanza looks awesome as always too ;)
  2. Do you still have the engine? How much if so? Pm me please.
  3. Nice work on this so far mate, looks like it will be on the road very soon. Not keen on those copper water pipes though, I'm sure you can get the right size silicone hose off eBay cheap enough, it would look a lot tidier. The fmic piping looks a bit long too? I'd personally stick with the original cooler piping. Keep up the good work
  4. Would there be any benefits from the 5E ECU?
  5. Idrees

    Weak handbrake

As above, adjust it from the 10mm nut to tighten up the cable
  6. Make sure it's the oil proof gasket sealer
  7. Interesting. Did you heat the can up too? I always leave it dipped in boiling hot water for around 10 minutes before using them, the paint comes out in a wider spray pattern
  8. You're welcome
  9. Can't wait to see this best on track. It's going to rip so many cars apart! I'll update when you parts are en route
  10. Agreed, looks absolutely awesome Josh. A Tom's spoiler at full tilt would finish it off superb!
  11. The one in my sig is better than the last one you used thank you by the way, I appreciate that you added ID-Workz
  12. What the f*** is that....
  13. I haven't adjusted mine. Gaz was running over 300bhp on his 5E EP85, his oil pressures were the same as mine so I didn't see the need to adjust it
  14. My 5E-FTE isn't forged, around 4 bar when cold and 2 bar when warm.
  15. Good stuff, should be a doddle then mate
  16. Have you worked on any other engines before? That would really help. If this is your first build then make sure you carry out enough research and read up what you need to know before building the engine.
  17. For a basic full rebuild you'll need: Bearings Piston rings Engine gasket set Oil pump Water pump Timing belt kit Headbolt kit As its knocking you'll also need to have the crank ground from an engineers firm. They'll measure the crank journals and tell you what size bearings you require too (usually 0.25 or 0.5mm oversized). If the crank has been ground before your machine shop may recommend a replacement, they'll also text it for any cranks and if it's cracked then definitely get a replacement. Also get the machine shop to clean up the block and head, and have the bores honed/deglazed. We can supply all the parts you'll need.
  18. Agreed, it's just the manifold that doesn't last. Braced or not braced, it will crack.
  19. Awesome work!
  20. Just looked over the last couple of pages, great progress mate!
  21. As above really, there's nothing you can do about it tbh. If you try to make a claim you'll be wasting your time. Also I disagree about the car having problems just because its warm when you view it. I've sold about 10 cars over the last 8 months and I have a busy routine so sometimes I would need to use the car before someone came to view it. I would try not to but sometimes it has to be done. Nothing was being hidden, and I've never had a single comeback.
  22. Remember we offer WEPR products at great prices
  23. I'll let you know mate
