  1. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.
  2. Dunno why everyone is saying glad they didnt drive then. That was THE era to drive, cheap fuel, loads of parts widely available, cars weren't disposable like they are now. Ok it might seem tacky now but back then it wasn't, I'm sure in a few years things that are done now will be cringed at ( probably sticker bombing and stancing ) mainly because its GAF. I just remember everything Japanese HAD to be Veilside kitted to be cool lol.
  3. Take a pic of the inlet side of the turbo and post it on here we will tell you. Make sure we can see the compressor wheel.
  4. Think you mixed up your first sentence mate. No voters and brexit went hand in hand. It was more yes voters who would have voted remain. Obviously not everyone in that case but most given that is the snps mandate. That aside my issue is more with the crazy nats who think being one of the "45" made them more scottish than the rest. The ones who when challenge on independance rather than give an answer just declared u anti scottish or whatever else. Its those who now could not accept the no vote and now demand indy ref2 because they cant accept not getting their way. Anyone in any doubt abo
  5. In theory this method should work. In practice though it doesnt. It should be set to when the penny first opens up as this is when it would start to level off the boost. But as all turbos make pressure differently and all wastegate pennys are dif sizes then the reality is that you really need to do it on the car to get it right and for it to hold a specific boost as you want it to.
  6. Scotland had its chance for independance and we categorically voted NO. So now that the crazy nats dont get what they want they think they get to call a referendum every time they want to throw the toys out of the pram. Scotland as a nation voted NO to leaving the UK as a majority. The UK as a majority voted to leave the EU....end of that is democracy you dont always get what you want. Time to get people in charge who are onside with what the majority of constituents want and move forward rather than going in circles and keeping on calling for referendums on things that have already been d
  7. They dont. They buy them with these big pipe dreams because they can afford the fake insurance. They then realise they cant afford to build them and break what was a perfectly good starlet. Should ban anyone from this site who is insured this way.
  8. Do you have an amp fitted to the car?
  9. If it doesnt puff smoke after its been lying then its not the valves.
  10. Does it puff smoke when you first start it after it has been lying overnight?
  11. Will do mate usually fly because ferry with a car is expensive. We have a few here that let you in and some still let you remove your own bits so fingers crossed.
  12. As above is no one on here breaking or selling one?
  13. Are they all pretty big? None of them are these new fangled types that want to remove the parts themselves while you wait in a reception are they?
  14. I am not but I spend a fair bit of my time there.
  15. Phone them back up and get them to talk you through it. Its their fault after all.
  16. Aye the red one Automatic transmission fluid its all the same stuff.
  17. I think when stuff goes missing they dont actually go missing. I think the label just comes off.
  18. Looking for a scrappy/breakers in Belfast its easy for me to google them but that doesnt give me any info on the quality of cars or parts they have there so thought nothing better than a bit of you guys local knowledge. Its not for a Starlet its actually not for a Jap car either its for parts for a wee 2004 fiesta and a 2005 chevrolet kalos. I know lucky me Anyway where would you recommend me to go just for bits and bobs, where has the best range of cars that I can get lost in hunting down a few parts? Cheers
  19. Judging by the response to this thread these should be the automatic go to bearings for a rebuild. Most people tend to use ACL and ive seen a few threads where they have failed lately so I think more people should be made aware of these.
  20. You dont need to excuse yourself mate you dont know these things until you are told or if your even more unlucky until you experience it yourself.
  21. Wrong section and you dont have the post count to break a car on here mate
  22. What Grant said. Nothing wrong with them at all. Infact for alloys its what you should use. Torquing them is more important. Plus if its down to that thread about the Zafira GSI then I wouldnt worry startlets use wheel nuts and not wheel bolts so the chances of that happening are slim to none and if it does happen its more likely down to incorrect fitment than shit wheel nuts.
