  1. It's different to say the least. Mash up of Nissan Honda and VW parts lol
  2. Withdrawing these now so can be locked! Nearly have all the fittings for these to plug right into a car so just going to use them

    2E to 4E

Okay getting stuff together to do 4efe swap into my carbed 2e EP81. Obviously I'll need the complete engine to start with. My box and shafts will bolt on directly meaning linkages clutch and fly are all okay too. Mounts are all the same. I'll need another exhaust manifold. My alternator, rad and starter can be reused. Hard wire an inline fuel pump and fuel return pipe if there isn't one or get a stock efi fuel tank, lines and pump. This should all be enough to get the engine bolted up and in place ready for running and driving. Next up is wiring, will I need to get all the looms
  4. You're in Belfast? From Galway myself, I'll be sure to look some of you starlet owners up if ever I travel up. Keep putting off visiting a "car friend" for a few months now lol. Ya might have seen his car around
  5. Apparently not. Couldn't dug up the Tein spanner, must have tossed it the other week cleaning out the shed.
  6. BC ones? I've a set in my shed left over if they're any use to you EDIT: think I've a single Tein one also from a HA model I believe.
  7. Might be a silly question but could you apply this to turboing a 2e ep80? Pretty much same engine so similar idea really?
  8. Every head should have the clearances checked when fitting cams to not only achieve the maximum benefits of the cam but also because each head is different to the next and so will be worn ore or less than the next. Best check to be sure
  9. That's kind of where I was planning on going with mine. Keep it OEM or OEM+ and use a few nice aesthetic mods to improve the look
  10. Did it with the engine off and it worked flawlessly, ran clear pipes from calipers to jars with some fluid. Pumped with valves open a few times, tightened up and pedal was rock solid.
  11. Always wondered how my car would look with coded bumpers and strips. It's a good look. What sort of plans have you for it going forward??
  12. If you can hang on to the footwell and barrel light I'll have them off you next week? Only down the road from ya the far side of claregalway in tuam.
  13. Think I seen this at JAE last year??
  14. Would there really be that much play in stock shock absorber bolt holes? I've seen Coilovers slotted to give a little extra camber but never on stock units. Cheers again morgey by the way, always seems to be you to the rescue lol
  15. Seems to be never ending problems with my car replacing all these parts. Question this time is, are there any difference between the ball joints between ep82 and an ep91?? Problems is I've replaced both hubs either side on my ep80 with items from an ep91 and whilst doing so also did the ball joints but now I've got positive camber of about 3° on driver side. At first I thought maybe it was the wrong hand ball joint so checked against the old and they match design. Only thing left is either ep91 ball joints are longer to suit the hubs and give camber, or else the ep91 arms are longer to
  16. Just bumping this up. Contacted racetech and they sent me a bulb today because they didn't know what size they were (how I don't know???) They're 12v 2.2w push fit bulbs. I'll be ordering up the remaining two bulbs needed today. Finding it hard to source any LED equivalent so doubt I'll be able to get them in green also.
  17. Any interest in £200 worth of brand new racetech mechanical gauges and I'll cover postage? Lol
  18. I was hoping to get away with that alright, works for most yokes I've worked on before. Turns out my friend has been having the very same problem with his brakes after having the whole car apart. Thought the MC and Abs were air locked. .... turns out he also put the calipers on back wards too lol
  19. Exactly, now just to take the most of it off again and replace the CV boots haha getting a bit too efficient at dismantling my front end
  20. I know, luckily I was fortunate enough as to not have to go through so much work to come to the same conclusion. Swapped around, quick bleed and they were rock solid! I was really blindsided by the fact that they bolted on as they should and looked spot on only for the bleed nipple was pointed down as opposed to up!
  21. Definitely one of those palm to face moments but all the answers are in here! DOH!!!! http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/65139-no-brake-pedal-hits-floor/
  22. That was given in with the second box in case they needed any parts for the rebuild as far as I remember. I'll ask him in the morning what he did with it.
