I have been looking at this one too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120812802233?ssP...984.m1423.l2649 if i put 90 degree bends on the ends, looks perfect size as long as it isnt too long, bah looking at his feet this actually looks quite big!! Yours look good though, i will get the tape out tonight and see if it will fit!
-
thanks for taking the time to look tsk, I will find out the exact dimensions i have got to play with tonight, i have got a bad feeling that the forge one i looked at is going to be too tall. The width and thickness are ok but not sure on the height, that first one looks like it could be a winner

I have got more on TGTT, i will have to cut and paste them over

Hey thanks! I am just tidying up all the guides i have made over the last few years, SteveGT is doing somthing with them, so i thought i would post them in one place on his thread so he can add them

Well as no one else has made a guide on how to make a EP70 turbo conversion, i thought i would have a bash at it, so you can also take the piss out of my Welsh Accent. Car was originally a 1.0 litre, this guide shows how to fit a 4E-FTE turbo charged engine in it (while also keeping its original looks) So here goes EP70 Starlet Turbo conversion (This is a sleeper build) The Starlet to be converted A completely standard 1E, 1.0 litre(50hp) Mk2 EP70 Toyota Starlet - 1986 http://www.flickr.com/photos/bloke/sets/72157627453619308/ The donor car for the conversion (my old ep82 track car)

I have posted up a guide previously on how to fit an LSD into a gearbox, very useful, with lots of step by step information. I'll find it now

Spent all evening looking at everything and anything, I have finally found one that should do the job from "Forge Motor Sport" although its not cheap at about £180. Its the type 6 which makes it shorter as its got rear facing pipes http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp...uct=FMINT204UNI Bloody fantastic, need to just measure it now to make sure it fits underneath the bonnet catch!

Oh my god im gonna kill this car, the intercooler i have bought doesnt fit! In fact none of the intercoolers on ebay fit!! The width of the front of the car behind the bumper i have to play with is 70cms but on each end of the intercooler i need to allow an extra 10cms+ in order to get a 90 degree bend in for the pipe work. None of the intercoolers i am looking at are short enough and the only one i thought would do the job is too tall and is in the way of the bonnet catch. I need one like below, but half the height! This is the one i bought from toyosports Its not that big about 46x28x7

Its been pushed back to Monday now as thats the earliest he can fit me in, so booked a day off work and with any luck the car should have the intercooler plumbed in as well as the exhuast! Sweet!
-
Yes I went to Xzorst in Bridgend and he said its going to be about £100 for the parts and then about 3 hours labour to make it all, so its gonna come in under £200 for all the custom piping work. I have provided my own intercooler though. Decided i am also going to get the exhuast system made there too as its easier, plus hes £100 cheaper than prospeed on the system! Result

Yeah exhaust Friday, i reckon the intercooler will turn up Wed/Thur, just need to ring this place in bridgend called xzorst to see if they can fit me in for the intercooler piping. I'll defo get some vids up of some flybys and see if me and my mate can go stalk some big cars and make them look slow! lolz gonna be loads of fun just looking at peoples faces

Ok after a lot of ummin and arrring on what intercooler size to get due to the restricted room and also a major factor of the bonnet catch asembly sitting right in the middle, so i couldnt put a wide IC in. Decided to go for this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310339042303?ssP...984.m1497.l2649 I can fit this nicely on the left hand side of the radiator without it interfering with the bonnet catch and the rigidty bar which sits bang in the middle. Its pritty dinky, but probably about twice the size of the standard IC Just need some custom pipes then

What sort of work are you taking on?

Started looking at plumbing in the FMIC this weekend, its going to be much more difficult than i anticipated. There is no way in hell I can fit in my thick core front mount intercooler from my EP82 and also the pipework is all out of whack as the engine bay is much shorter. Looks like i will have to get a slim size one and then also pay someone to make up the custom pipes for me, sigh, i was hoping to save my self a few hundred quid by using the one off the ep82. Anyway here is my latest video of my work to date on the car, in the vid im talking about fitting the fmic, but thats before i rea
