  1. Socks is running a set on his Glanza. To be honest they cope fine with his 370bhp when I drove it lol . That said, I was only driving on the road for short distances but still giving them a good boot... Done a few high speed stops and its never had issues as far as I'm aware... (wilwoods that is)
  2. Looks like a lot of work went into the dash and doorcards... Shame because it's horrible imo lol! Suppose if they were flocked as they are, would look sexual.... Keep us updated mate!
  3. Just generally full of win ... Did you buy the braided hoses or make them? It's on my list and I'm just considering making some as a friend has a box full of assorted lines lol (providing I can get 4 the same that fit nicely obviously)... And no worries on the arb. I got my car on the ramp the other day and noticed I still have the L brackets on mine lol!
  4. Could be interested in just 1 piston if you're willing to split
  5. lol. I've asked pretty much all of the suppliers on here for advice about something or other in the past and not one of them have been bias or or slated anyone else. I've always just had good honest advice... As for which kit, I run a WEPR but if I was still ct9 I wouldn't hesitate to try any other brand. They all have top customer service and they're all very friendly to work with. Guess if I was buying a NEW kit I'd just talk to them and see what was best for me.
  6. Haha!! Should have tried it dude! No harm if it's already fucked and to be honest a lot of people don't have a clue and just assume "oh must be fucked!" if it stops and doesn't start straight away .... If you're unsure, get it checked by a professional. If it's fine, it's already in bits and if it only cost you £200 I'd just stick with that and forge it... After you've rebuilt it with new gaskets you're probably not going to make much on it... Be a different story if it were still whole and running sweet .
  7. Power fading out and not starting again sounds as simple as an alternator lol..... Did you not try topping the oil up and starting it before stripping it down? If the engine has blown due to no oil, chances are it's spun a bearing as said above and locked the engine... But if it turns over fine I'd take the caps off the rods and double check the bearings, double check the bores, tap the pistons on a hard surface to see if any chunks fall out or the rings break etc. If all is fine, face palm yourself, put it back together with a new gasket/seal kit and try it lol! Might be fine .
  8. I used to be a landscape gardener last year and it was a piss easy job, sat on ride on lawn mowers and dug holes in the sun with ice cold drinks lol. Paid just over £7ph and the freedom was endless to be honest... I'm now Assistant Manager at National Tyres on a 16k salary plus a bonus every month that varies from £200 to £600, holiday perks, sick days paid and any travel costs etc lol. It's busy work but really nice to run the branch, make the sales, work on cars and have the bonus to work for etc. Plus it's quite easy to work your way up after Assistant Manager and the pay rises are nice ;).
  9. What this guy said!!! It's only as hard as you tell yourself it's going to be lol. If you keep telling yourself "It's an addiction, it's not easy" then you're never going to quit because to be frank you're just making excuses ... If you really WANT to quit, then quit. Nothing else to it lol. No one is going to help you, no one has a magic solution... It's hard for a month and you'll never look back. Get a ps3 or a new game if you already have one. Just go to work, avoid the fag break, go home, play games, go bed, repeat lol !
  10. I smoked for about 4 year... I decided to make a new start last year and quit smoking, started BrokenMedia and got a decent job lol... I think if you want to quit smoking you have to be motivated. I didn't like the person I used to be and changed my lifestyle and attitude completely to be honest. My best advice would be to just do it off your own back, I didn't believe in using drugs or patches etc to "help" me stop smoking because I truly wanted to quit and replacing the habit with another substitute seems like the thing I would do if I didn't want to quit but had no choice... Don't look for
  11. Well done guys! Think I'm going to rebuild my old engine with some new rings, bearings and seals before I get it mapped. Shouldn't cost a lot and technically it'll be a brand new engine . Don't want this happening lol.... Again, well done !
  12. Just make a 3mm-5mm plate and put it over the sump. If I HAD to modify it and didn't care a massive amount I'd just bash it in with a hammer and shorten the oil pick up. Or cut the bottom off and weld a new bottom. Probably a better idea lol. Make sure the pick up is still right near the bottom of the sump obviously lol... Never heard of any starlet having sump problems though . How low are you?
  13. Done this a few times now. Take both pipes off and stick your hose inside. Standard hose size fits in nice and tight. Both times I did mine, had clean water going one way and looooads of crap come out the other way. Makes a pretty big difference but feel like mine needs doing yet again and I only did it a few months ago. Probably better to flush the matrix with clean water and then run a proper flush through the whole system.
  14. Your best bet is to just post on here to ask people that may be breaking a GT. Failing that it could just be a universal clip (don't know what it looks like lol) and you may be able to get one from some kind of hardware shop... or ebay ;)
  15. Got my gt wheel in really good condition. Everything there...
  16. Sounds like a awesome idea to me ! I saw Adam last night and had a good old chat . If you come down we'll go out for some food and go bowling or something. Then a little photoshoot or a video from the day ..... Lacquer peel? That's gay lol. If we had time in a weekend I'd respray it for you nice and cheap but it'd probably take up most of the day and then need buffing etc the next day lol. Be minty fresh though . Maybe something we can look into for summer?
  17. Top post! Good man for spending the time to do this. Kinda material that saves people hours of research and hundreds of pounds for someone else to do it lol. by the way someone pin this
  18. Also to check plugs just pop them out and see if the ends are black or wet
  19. If you have a misfire on boost it means that the engine is fine until something has too much pressure on it. I don't think it will be coilpack seeing as it would be affected all the time usually however it could well be HT leads... What happened before it started to do it? Anything strange or unusual? Did it start misfiring suddenly or gradually? Have you changed anything?... If you've only just fitted this new engine it could just be you've missed a plug somewhere or a faulty sensor. Bad earth possibly. List is endless if it's not the obvious. Just take your time and check over everything aga
