  1. I've also done painting for years and have all the equipment lol. If you buy your supplies in bulk like I imagine you do having done it for years, then you should be able to spread your cost over a set of rims down to about £40 if you work it out over the long run. I painted my bumper having spent £20ish on a small pot of colour and using left over high build and 2k clear from another job.... So the bumper cost me £20ish to do lol.... A bodyshop will have gallons and gallons of primer, clear coat, hardener, thinners, panel wipe and hundreds of sheets of paper and pads for the sanders, numerous tubs of bogo and fiberglass etc etc etc. So in the long run for a bodyshop, you can probably knock off about 20% of the cost if you were going to buy your stuff in quater litres lol... Not to mention claiming back VAT. If you spent £100 just on paint for a bumper then either go to a different paint supplier or put it on thinner lol! . As for not getting a pro finish with a can I've done numerous jobs with cans and had perfect blends and colour matches etc. If the nozzle is good and its mixed properly in the can it can sometimes be a lot easier to get a better finish with a can lol. For example spraying lower parts where the air line on a gun would get in the way. Like I experience a few times when repairing sills.... I'm saying all this in jest by the way lol. Don't want an argument. But £100 in paint for a bumper is overpriced, not being able to get a decent finish with a tinnie is a lie and £300 for 4 rims to be refurbed is a bit of a bum rape . You can get a full respray for £800 lol. ....... awaits abusive reply haha!
  2. I had free tickets to go to this this year and no one wanted to go lol!.. If we can get a nice convoy going and people camping, I'm 100% down.
  3. I meant doing them yourself lol! Paint, paper, supplies etc. Shouldn't cost any more than £40 if you spread your materials carefully !
  4. Been giving my WEPR kit death for over a year now and still no problems what so ever. Can't fault it. As said above though, both Race-Tech and TD make their own kits with warranty if anything should go wrong. Plus you're going to need a map so could get some kind of deal with either company I'm sure. Even more so if you go forged... Unless you want to be brave and do it on standard internals ;).
  5. For the 38mm? Could only find the 60mm V band one on ebay.... Link?
  6. Need a nipple/fitting for the vacuum on my demonsport (ebay) wastegate. Anyone got one knocking about?
  7. Spamming my own thread again, now understand how the map sensor works lol. Guess I need a harness! If anyone has a harness for the map sensor knocking about, I'm in need of one . I could buy a new harness and the sensor but would rather just get the harness if anyone has one?
  8. Okay I'm 95% sure I've sorted it all out now and should just plug and play. Were just 2 wires that had came out of their "butt connectors" lol. Does the emanage really only use signals for: Inlet airflow (Sure this is for map sensor?) RPM Lambda sensor Injector pulse 1+3 Injector pulse 2+4? And obviously the power and earth... I think that was it anyway? Took me half hour looking through diagrams to find out that its ready to plug and play... Providing that'd nothing missing... Still need to figure out how to plug in the 3 bar map sensor without the harness.... Isn't it just a case of snipping the wires from the stock map sensor and wiring in the new one correctly?.... It's only 3 wires lol.
  9. Also to add that I will be wiring in my AVCR at the same time... Should I splice into the wiring for the blue or the ECU? Or doesn't it matter... Not actually even sure if the blue has throttle sensor, vehicle speed or engine RPM signals anyway?
  10. That's extremely steep :s... Costs about £40 to paint a set of rims lol. Nice wheels though. GLWTS
  11. I have the sensor just not the wiring lol... If I can get a diagram I'll wire it in...
  12. So I brought an emanage blue a while ago with a field harness that came from an ep82... However the wiring for the map sensor was missing and there are a few spaded wires knocking about and I'm not 100% if they're needed or what they're for, if I need to alter the wiring to use the stock map sensor etc... So has anyone got a EMB to GT wiring diagram? Or some notes, pictures, tips etc to help me wire this in...
  13. yeah you can change them but when I did mine the aftermarket bulbs were pretty shit and I ended up using my original bulb lol... Think they were T10s? Not entirely sure! Think I used the same kinda bulb as the smaller ones that go in the clocks... Take a look, really easy to take the panel out .
  14. Fuckin love fuckin devvo dik eeeeeed. Got some gas n robbed ma nan maaaate. lol.
  15. Lmfao. Love that quote
  16. Matt had a respray earlier in the year with a 2k paint which he had some left over so I used it to paint his bonnet for him.... Normally I'd paint with a celly primer, solvent based paint and then use a 2k clear coat on top (lacquer) however you don't need to put clear coat on a 2k paint (didn't know this at the time). I found when I was trying to flatten and buff his bonnet after painting it that it just wouldn't shine that great. A friend that's been painting for years told me not to bother using a clear on 2k paints (he gave a long explanation at the time and said that you can get a gleaming shine if done this way or that way but I can't remember lol).... So if you use a 2k paint, just flatten it after and buff... Obviously if you use a solvent or water based base coat (colour) then use a lacquer (2k will get the best finish)
  17. People saying chatter is better I just have to say that yes, when it chatters, sounds awesome... However without a dumpvalve when you boost it past say 0.4 bar, and you put too much pressure through the turbo for it to chatter and it does that "sneeze/gay cough" before the chatter..... That sounds fucking pathetic lol! Really annoys me when I hear it lol. Especially your car Jack . Get a dumpvalve you gay lol!... Not to mention turbo stall . I run a ssqv but 70% of the time when I drive steady I let my foot off the throttle slightly slower before changing to get the NICE sounding chatter... Only advice I can give is Baileys sound gay, forge sound gay and the 1st generation ssqv sounds better than the 2nd one... Never really took notice of any others lol.
  18. Wish I'd seen this earlier by the way. Would have been nice to see you. I'd have had the grille too . Epic failz... Still after job lot people . Also forgot to add clear indicators lol.
  19. Prices anyone? Still need lights grille and boot... Prices for all

  21. No worries matey ! Matty D, obviously first dibs to Dan, but if nothing comes of it, I would also be interested in the headlights at the right price...
