  2. as above u got the solid 1 it looks like.i used to have a retracable 1 on my crx and it came with a lil switch for inside the car with a picture of a pole on it it was like a telescopic pole with a small plastic dome on top which flashed
  3. positive he reakoned around £800 however uve still got fitting costs for a standalone then the mapping which obv takes it up a fair bit. only thing id sujest is if u plan exactly what u want on the car before u get it maped will save u a nice bit of cash. ive got a few things i want to change on mine so ill have to pay to get it the map tweeked again which is obv more £££ that wouldnt of been needed if i had planed all the parts i wanted before getting it maped.
  4. nah i never got to look properly into prices he reakoned it would be about £800 quid for a full set up then it was just fitting and maping. i was just at the point of going to price it when chris got on the phone to geo and the guys at fensport and got the emu sorted so was no need for it. unless your going for massive power dont think a standalone is realy needed but after running a blitz ecu then the emu the diffrence is night and day.
  5. sounds like its earthed before the window wiper switch. had the same prob with my fog lights in ma old crx to say it was a nightmare to find would be an under statement took a good few hours of scratching my head and a big fuck off box of spare fuses
  6. when my car was having a hard time being maped on the emu me and chris ( the mapper) were talking about other options he reakons the link standalones would be good for the starlets and there pretty fair priced aswell. other option is the tryed and tested motec systems but there quite expensive seen a few big power starlets running hydra ecus and not herd any bad feedback on them either. if u ask me the biggest factor should be the person thats actauly gonna map it doesnt matter how good the ecu is u buy if it guy maping it isnt comfy with the system its just a waste of cash

  8. used to have a piano in my house when i was like 7 so learned to play a bit then got a bass learned to play that and picked up a cheap guitar to play around with. then i went to cyprus and stayed there for almost 2 years when i came back i passed my driving test and since then the bass and guitar have been sitting in a cupboard gathing dust tis a shame realy lol

  10. id personaly get a fmic. but if your gonna go down the arc tmic route just make sure u plan to stick with it ive seen a few come up for sale and they seem to sit for ages not selling untill some insane price drops take place

  13. i agree with shorty for the main part but not so convinced on the hybrid for country roads thats all we have around near me and i cant fault the td04 at all on them as long u no how to drive it to the road conditions. now i can only realy speak for country roads but 1 massively overlooked thing when people go for speed/power from starlets is the all to common ill strap a big fuck off turbo on it to go faster when in reality a stock ct9 with some good handling and braking mods would shit on almost any starlet thats just had a td04 slaped on and the boost wound up but thats a diffrent thread al
  14. well its only when am at work its in a big industrail estate and they have set up a camp just behind it. the car park is a private car park but almost the whole estate is surrounded by forrest so its rather easy for them to sneak around and gain access to the estate and nick things they constantly get caught steeling stuff but for whatever reasons the police cant seem to stop them or even get a conviction on them
  15. sitting at work the other day and 1 of the mangers came running over to tell me to check my car. looked out window to find 4 travelers were walking round my car looking inside it and pulling at door handles/ bonnet. so ran out to confront them by time i got to my car a few of the guys in work had already ran out to see what was going on and as soon as they shouted what the fuck are u doing the travelers all ran off. luckily it appears they got disturbed before they done anything to the car but since then am thinking might be wise to look in to getting 1 of these in car camera systems that re
  16. ^ this worth spending the extra for a proper map. nothing agaist the blitz ecu i used but since getting it done on emu u notice an instand diffrence on power and the amount of trips to the petrol station u make. and launch control isnt to bad either
  17. love this car if it was me id strip the rear and such and get a cage for it even if it was just black so it doesnt stand out massively thing is gonna fucking fly esp with u behind the wheel on a track day be intresting to see what its end weight is aswell
  18. just out at my car and noticed my passanger footwels totaly soaked i take it that means the matrix is well and truely shafted? i was sujested by a local garage to stick 1 of those bottles of rad weld liquids in to the water system to see if that might stop the leak but ive always been told never to touch them any input?
  19. i was going to go down the hybrid route but happy i went for the td04 was worried about lagg. tbh its no were near as bad as people make out and only time ull notice it is from a standing start. only had a chance to to test it agaist the 2 local lads who had stock ct9s the lagg was the last thing on my mind as i flew past them and that was at 1 bar on a plug and play

  21. am running a td04 at 1.2 bar on stock internals atm maped on a emu tho i wouldnt trust a plug n plug over a bar
  22. i rembered i had todo my mot like 5 days before it was due and no local garages would touch it due to being an import .luckily a quik post on here to ask about good garages for imports and it flew threw its mot with no issues

  24. bah i got a sub and amp already just the doing the actual building part puts me off doing my own. helped a mate do 1 if his golf and its put me off trying mine fora long time now
