Nice build pal, coming together nicely. Any plans for the future? -
I don't really have shifts, as long as I work 42 hours a week. I usually work 10:30 - 19:00 saves sitting in traffic for and hour and a bit each way.

Clock Conversion : Starlet n/a to Starlet SR cluster.

Good work mate! Billy - disconnect the battery (so you don't get hit with the airbag) 2 screws on the side of the wheel, you should now be able to lift the airbag out. Slacken the nut in the centre once the airbag is removed. That should do it! -
Glad to hear it was an easy fix! I bet the anticipation to get her on the road is killing you.

Maximum power for a N/A e series engine.
Chris Green replied to Chris Green's topic in Lifestyle General
That's actually a fair point, more of them around the more knowledge there is. Yeah, it's a challenge, hours spent searching corners of the internet trying to find info and parts. The hardest part of my build was sourcing engine, parts and now creating my own due to the fact most tuning companies focusing on the 4e-fte. Whereas not many people go to extreme lengths on squeezing more power out of the N/A. Cheers Morgey, will do! -
There is an extra lug on the bottom, will give it a go tomorrow. If it works and works right i will have hit the jack pot lol. Cheers pal! Thanks dude, though you might lol. 4 months isn't long to wait, gives you a chance to sort out some tasty mods!

Cheers dude! Thanks Ryan. Well the bad news it the plugs aren't the same, however it is a 3 pin TPS, so Im going to have a search on triumph forums etc, so see what pin does what. I will try 2 different routes with this: 1) cut the plug off and connect up a triumph TPS. Hopefully the ECU wont reject the different TPS. 2) swap the TPS' over as they look exactly the same in size. Will have a closer look tomorrow.

Best person to speak to regarding gear boxes is , i know he has tried a few different ones in starlets. That's all well and good if you haven't spent the best part of a year and heap of money building a 5e-fhe. I know where you are coming from though. If it was a fresh start it would be a different story + I don't think Morgey would be a happy man lol. -
Yeah, it is a bit of a rip off! Even Playstation plus isn't as expensive as Gold What did you go for?

Watch it isn't a dodgy one from China, what site are you using?

I have both consoles at the minute and I think the ps3 is leaps and bounds ahead of the Xbox. On the plus side with the ps4 I will still be able to use my logitech wheel

Did Dean do you full system? Seen some of his work recently on FB and it looks EPIC

I think I'll stick to the PS

Car is looking fresh Liam!

It would be excellent if it was, but I'm not holding out much hope. As the saying goes, if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

The throttle bodies I ordered arrived today, they are off a 2001 Triumph TT600, I picked them up off eBay for £60.00 inc delivery. First thing I noticed, was the TPS look identical to the on which is already on the standard TB. Later tonight, I'm going to take it off and have a quick look. I may have struck a total win, if the are identical, I will simply swap them over, which should save a lot of hassle. If they are the same, I will try plugging the TPS in to the loom tonight and see if I get an error message. I am going to have to make up a bracket to hold the throttle cable, which shoul

The 5e-fhe is around 110bhp, so its a decent base to start on, surely i cant be that hard to gain 30-40bhp. ITB's arrived today so I will crack on with them. Funny you should say that Addy I thinking of going six speed. I've hear there isn't much of a difference between the two boxes. -
Quite like the rad cap covers in blue, might have to order one, come payday.
