  1. Depends what boost and power you want to run tbh. I've been in contact with Keith over at zisco about the setup i'm planning on running (forged 5e with GTX28 turbo) and he has told me they are good upto around 400bhp without cams and oversized valves. I'm going to get mine mapped and run on the dyno then see if there are any improvements to be made.
  2. Anyone interested in the drivers seat? Have a potential buyer for the passenger seat.
  3. Recirc valves are stock items and a DV is an aftermarket product, both do the same thing. If they didn't have any use companies wouldn't spend millions in R&D configuring these products. They are there to do a job. They don't help spool, they help with throttle response once getting back on the throttle after being off it.
  4. I personally would have a rev limit set about 3-500rpm higher than when you stop making power. As said best to check a dyno graph
  5. This may be of some use to you mate... http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?93543-What-kind-of-power-Evo7-TD05-16g&highlight=twin+scroll Not sure if they are the same turbo as used on the 7 and the 9, but I can't see why they would change.
  6. I would have thought the td05 from the evo would be twin scroll.
  7. Bumpy need these gone asap!

    oil pressure?

Idle at cold about 5 bar, warm idle about 1-2 bar. Generally you want 1 bar for every 1000rpm as a good guide
  9. check the wire from the thermostat, its tiny and very easily breakable
  10. I do have them mate, I took them off as I tried fitting them to my Recaro's but they won't fit them, so I can include them if someone wants them
  11. This Just because the oil's dirty doesn't mean theres anything wrong, thats the oil doing its job. Just replace it more often than not.
  12. LOL quality, my mrs can't stop going on about this book!
  13. Boost gauge sold GT seats have been added
  14. Test it by going up a hill in 4th gear and watch the rev counter.
  15. The LSD from an OEM LSD box will NOT fit in a non LSD box. Which is why aftermarket products were produced, and in fairness are probably better.
  16. Wasn't sunny here yesterday although was fucking humid. Bit of sunshine today and still pretty humid.
  17. Connect the Red 12v and earth to the cig lighter. The orange will go to the lights stalk under the dash. The white im not sure of. It will need calibrating, I would hold the button with ignition on, then at idle if you don't see somewhere near 14.7 then calibrate it again with the engine running.
  18. Where did you go for you Link and who fitted and mapped it mate?
  19. You could always gain that little bit more out of a standalone, every little piece is slightly better, but all those little pieces make a large gain. Mainly due to the control over components like injectors and coils, reducing the risk of det and gaining more power and a more useable vehicle.
  20. Or get Shane tecklenburg to map it online ;) How far you willing to travel, fensport, AFR tuning.
  21. I'm sure the gearbox components itself are the same, just the casing and diff are different. The c52 and c56 box are the same but have slightly different ratio's between them.
  22. Theres only 2 people on the powerboard that would gain an advantage of running a larger inlet and throttle body. Spuddy and Alan, and even then I'm sure Alan is running a stock intake manifold at 440bhp!
  23. It depends what "full boost" is. You will make 0.8 bar quicker than 1.9 bar. I'm going to be running the newer version the GTX series turbo on a 5e and hoping for 1.6 bar around 4000rpm.
  24. If its going on a 4e I would stick with the smallest trim which is the 2860. Will get good spool and a massive surge of power. They are good for about 340-360bhp.
  25. If you want the best grip it has to be cusco MZ! Goldenvtr is running one on his 5e 300+bhp and he gets no wheelspin. They are like £900 brand new though, not putting me off buying one
