Offers want these gone.

More comparable to a td04 tbh, will make 270bhp tops.
-
Engine on, vac off. Set pressure stock as your running below fuel cut, 2.3 bar.
-
Keep the fpr as its a good tuning tool if you ever need to use it. Just set the base pressure to 2.3 bar which is stock.
-
Depends on what turbo your running and how far you wanna push it. It'll run fine on an EMB though, upto a point.
-
Ball bearing vs journal bearing. The ball bearing requires less oil, so an oil restrictor is put in place.
-
Its virtually the same. Only things different would be the con rods, oil filter housing, thermostat housing, flywheel.
-
I don't know the part number for it, but Toyota can get them, or maybe try Iddy
-
The only sensor at the back of the engine is the knock sensor which screws into the block. I believe there is a gasket betweek the pump and housing, but pump to block I think is just sealed with sealant.
-
Yeah people have used them, better off phoning them up to actually get somewhere though.

500bhp Glanza up north somewhere?! might be BS...

I believe ECC bought it to develop it further -
They are genuine, they have the name plate sticker on the inside so guess they are real, unless its a fake part but I doubt it.

When an engine is built the piston to valve clearence should always be measured then you know what scope you have to play with. Im not sure in stock form but someone else who has measured it like a trader should know. When fitting the cams they need to be dialed in using a DTI and the specs as given from the cam manufacturer, if cam specs aren't given I would stay away from them. You would want to avoid retarding the valve timing, but this depends on you and the mapper as to where you want the powerband.

Ay it would be but don't forget they will most likely get traders discount or vat free on the products. Plus when you do it yourself you always change things and it gets done to how you want it done, not how someone else wants to do it. -
Lol really? Obviously something from the 80's is going to be a piece of cake and doesn't require much thought. There are a few tricks however on other cars to get into them floating around on the net.
-
Yep same
-
Don't post advice on how to break into it on a public forum would be a start ;)
-
They obviously do something or they wouldn't be used in forms like time attack. However how much difference they make is hard to say, depending on the angle, position etc. Unless you have access to a wind tunnel you'll never know, their cheap enough to buy or make a set yourself.

Tell him to stop being a nob and do a non cat test, ive seen them pass even with a decat.
-
This, but it'll need to be pushed to atleast 8500rpm. Not a very nice powerband, but figure is impressive.
-
It goes under a non cat test as the UK doesn't have an engine equivelent.

Boost controller with external wastegate
AdamB replied to Glanza-Ben's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
The solenoid IN is from a pressure source before the throttle body. The solenoid OUTgoes to the top port on the wastegate. Then just use the wastegate manufacture installation to sort the middle/bottom ports on the wastegate. -
That wouldn't be wise, every engine is different and take different amounts of ignition advance and fueling.
-
You get them with the bolts, or look on ARP's website their listed on there.
