  1. Is that the grommet that comes off the heater/blower unit thing behind the dash? Where did you get that grommet from pal as I just removed mine. Everything is looking proper tidy I must say! Bet your itching to put all these pieces of the puzzle together!
  2. Just a tad over the speed limit lad lol, was giving the N/A a right bashing, any further on the pedal I would have been through the bulk head
  3. Location? Old bill down my way are pretty alright, got pulled tonight in my N/A lol.
  4. There was a bit of a myth that the 5e suffers from an oil pressure problem, but 99 times out of 100 its down to how its built. If you have an oil pressure gauge that will provide more information on whats going on, without one its just guessing really.
  5. All rods are a matched set. Ideally the big and little ends need to be measured to ensure they are within spec and balanced a long with the bottom end rotating assembly. You may get away without doing this though as I'm sure plenty of people have mis-matched rods before, however that's the way I would do it.
  6. Their website is pretty shit tbh, be better off ringing them to see what they have in stock or even visiting, there's plenty to go around at their place lol.
  7. It's got no engine mate, so even harder still lol. Think I'll just leave it as it is for now, everything's been removed I can think of that won't stop the engine from firing. Just need to get it wrapped back up
  8. Japanese Performance Parts in Surrey do something like this.
  9. Put another pair of socks on lol, if you can dance on the pedals your feet shouldn't be getting cold anyway Hahaha cheeky git! I'll remember to have plenty of spare cans of de-icer as well ;)
  10. Im gonna put another matrix in mate and probably just have it on an on/off switch just coming out the top vents, got rid of all the direction motor and foot heater crap lol.
  11. Piece of cake really mate, providing you can understand pinouts and know how to correctly crimp and apply connectors/plugs its not too hard at all, just time consuming mainly.
  12. Personally I wouldn't spend 500 quid on a piggyback when you can get a DTA/Omex and maybe some others for an extra 50 quid or so. If you keep your ears to the ground on forums you can find the likes of Motec's, Syvec's, Life Racing from the big boys with supra's, scoobys selling them off pretty cheap.
  13. That was unexpected lol. Removed the wiring for the heaters today, I assume I can leave out the connectors which clip onto the crash bar behind the dash on the passenger side? There's 3 of them one's the HVAC connector, dunno about the other two? Also got a few plugs I'm not sure of what their for or if they can be removed. Here's a plug on the passenger side which goes down to the door loom, colour of the two wires are pink and purple. Here's one on the drivers side which was taped up against the plastic wire cover, again down by the door loom, wire colours are red & white and re
  14. Didn't see that lol. So which is it? Genuine or not?
  15. On the corner where the engine is stamped? Quite a common problem tbh, normally they tend to seal themselves but don't always. How urgent it is depends on how much oil your losing really, never really lose a lot its normally just a thin film.
  16. Dean said everything I would have said in a much blunter straight to the point way lol.
  17. Or its just been fully mandrel bent the way a manifold should be to reduce stress raisers Looks epic though!
  18. Check out Zues clips, they are pretty epic, but apparently are a bit of a faff to fit. Harry from Oz uses them on his starlet, check out his build thread, looks proper tidy.
  19. Ah right, I've used the RainX water repellant before on windscreens and that does a shit hot job! Wonder how long it lasts though? Cheers for finding out mate
  20. Theres more reasons behind going for a standalone than just power capabilites. Motec's are very good, been around for years and are very reliable. I agree there is better things out there, the only thing that lets them down is they are very rarely updated compared to the likes of Syvecs etc, but then the updates are mainly to do with new features which can't be used on a 15+year old starlet anyway. Hell if I had the money I would have a Pectel, but they are mega money.
  21. Do Nortech need the car to build a mani?
  22. Thought it was for an 82 then Would have snapped it up.
  23. Problem comes when they do break and your stuck trying to find a new gearbox!
