Not the same. its like buying something from a shop, it being faulty and then you losing 10% of the cost do to "restocking fees" The cable is a simple A-B Cable thats used for printers and the software is free to download off AEM. had all that in 5 mins

Again.. Thats fine but at the end of the day he basically made no effort to help me when it didnt go his way. I am broke now for a week and i asked him to pay postage. he refused. so now i should basically have used that cash to start the fire this morning because he didnt check an item before he sold it. seems fair doesnt it... nope!

Forget about return policies etc. If this was the other way around i would feel so bad for selling the thing the way it was i would have organised postage/ a courier. The car you bought was different you had a chance to view it and didnt.. Im not bothered now im not buying off you again.

Yes it can be sent to AEM themselves who then charge a $50-$75 fee just to look at it + labour + parts + return postage. I have looked this up as i tried to see if there was a was to get it fixed but one guy that tried found the exact sensor and re-soldered it to the board and it did not work as they think it needs to be calibrated internally. There is a way to map it using an external sensor and using the MAF input to map via voltage but i didnt buy it to be messing around like that which ends up with a rougher map. I have spoken to a guy that did this and he didnt recommend it. I

I Paid for an AEM FIC in full working order bar a few scratches etc. Received item today and plugged it in straight away as i had already downloaded the AEM tuning software. I clicked onto the view gauges window to find this: The internal Map sensor is fucked. He claims he never used it so didnt know, but he bought it in january and the guy he bought it off told me it was mapped for a 5e when he sold it but the map i pulled off it this morning looked like someone had just been messing about and the changes to the AEM are live so automatically save. He expected me to send i

Yes i get the money back that i sent to him. But before i do i have to fork out more money to give him his faulty item back? I know thats the way paypal works. I know a guy that works for them. The reason this happens is because they do not have the right to take any more money than they received in that transaction without consent. Hence why they cant claw back return postage charges. I dont "WANT" to return it either. I have to! Why? because the item is faulty. Its a problem that happens in use. Its also a problem that would be very noticeable when it happened (trying not to give a -

Received Faulty Item - Fair to as for postage??

Yeah its the attitude as well that gets me. His "offer" is a full refund. I can get that through paypal anyway. He wanted me to post it first and then get the refund when he recieved it without going through paypal. hmmmmm. Its that time of the month and im strapped for cash after forking out for a part that i expected to be in full working order. His quote from the last pm: "Just despute with paypal mate and you still won't get your shipping back. I've told you what I'm willing to offer and your still not happy there's not much more I can do. If you don't have 15 euros to send it ba -

Received Faulty Item - Fair to as for postage??

Thats exactly what i said but he doesnt see why he should lose out either??? getting quite aggravated as i dont like throwing money away and it should have been checked as working before it was sent. -
As above. I have bought an item from a member on here. I received it today. The item is Faulty. I have asked for the seller to either get a courier to collect the item or pay the postage and to refund me. He is not willing to cover postage what so ever. Is this not a fair deal?

I had one of these a few years ago on a corolla. Went from the normal 4-1 cast mani to the 4-2-1 semi cast/tubular like the one i have now. It greatly improved the drive.. It was much more free revving!
