  1. Yeah you may have to trace some wires from the ecu that don't already exist in the dash such as rpm feed. It is very possible. Finding out which wires do what on the clock side will be the difficult part unless you have a gt loom to trace?
  2. If you dont care about make you can get a toyosport td04 mild steel mani and downpipe for less than £200 delivered off ebay
  3. What engine is in your ep80? Im also looking into this
  4. The ecu stops using the lambda reading in open loop. Open loop occurs at wot, at a certain map Voltage and when cold until it reaches a set temperature. So you will only notice a difference at the points he mentioned where it's running too lean. Basically your lambda cannot be reading right as the ecu isn't applying enough fuel trim to keep the afrs in check until open loop. Seeing as you have an aem you can just tap the 0-1v emulation line into the lambda wore going into the ecu.. Your wideband will then act as your lambda
  5. Is that still as it was in last pic? You haven't messed with the configuration of the spacer yet? If so they look spot on! How do they drive?
  6. Unplug your lambda sensor and see what readings you get on your wideband then..
  7. It has no problem going into gear with the engine off though.. going to try and find some time and pull the box, clutch and fly out and reassemble it with that spacer thing in and see what happens
  8. So i put my starlet all back together and bled the clutch and brakes and checked for gear oil. Now the gears are very stiff like the clutch isnt disengaging fully but i can change them but with grind? The starlet drove fine before withe the 1e in.. I put a 4efte clutch and flywheel onto the 4efe and used the 4 speed box and kept the 1e clutch release bearing. Is that the problem?? The other thing i noticed is there was a 1mm small plate with holes in it behind the flywheel on the 4efte when i took it off.. I lost this. Did i need it?? Really annoying as I've just don't the whole conver
  9. My advice. Don't take the full drive out of the box. Waaaay too much hassle. Leave the cup in the box and just take the joint out of the cup. No loss of fluid and a lot less strenuous.
  10. Wow.. They look almost exactly the same as a gt with the gi kit on minus the scoop. Who ever did this literally halved the cars worth in my opinion. I'd love to a gi due to them being even rarer than a clean gt these days
  11. I would advise just putting the standard fpr on.. you cannot go wrong then
  12. Why ask the question and then blatantly disregard what everyone says? You obviously dont want to listen so why as the question numerous times just to get the same answer and ignore it???
  13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Cherry-Bomb-Exhaust-Back-Box-/321378119020?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ad3a0ed6c
  14. No need to make excuses for its height I did the same when i fitted mine but im actually happy with the height! I just wish it was another 10-15mm lower on the front :/ Wanted to see yours to compare to mine, they look exactly the same height
  15. Any pics from the side with the trd's fitted?
  16. That's expensive! They go for 1500-2000 euro in better condition than that over here..
  17. If all your pipes really are connected you could have blown a hole in the intercooler
  18. A 4e/5e hybrid with standard hg and 4e pistons works out at about 9:1
  19. The condition they are in too.. Kinda puts other lads to shame selling them for double the price and in near needing a rebuild condition
  20. Ahh nice one thanks! I get it now! Yes hondas make stupid power because of compression and they seem to have better mappers as they run quite well.. It also lets them spool bigger turbos faster which helps again as the cfm that they move is also much larger than that of a td04 at low psi. Thanks for that bud! Very informative
  21. wouldnt oversized pistons increase the chamber volume and lower compression? (assuming all you changed was the diameter of the pistons) A smaller headgasket, slight head skim and block deck would do a fine job. ratio depends on your set up but unless your going to be running very good fuel constantly theres no point.. I think 4efe's are the perfect compression ratio tbh and at 0.6 on a ct9 make 160-180 mapped.. A gen 1 would be perfect with the gt sized rods
