Yeah my tyres are 185 55 15's, i didn't want to run too low a profile and weaken the sidewall too much. my tread sits just in the arch. You can't even tell mine are stretched at all.

Put some pics up!!!

Well tried putting new shells in on the off chance, no such luck. Fired up and ran for a little while fine, but when revved up it knocked again. bad times. Had literally the worst luck with everything in my life over the past few weeks... Buying a complete freshly removed 4efte to put in it, and already have a full gasket set, so i'll be taking the crank to park engineering for a regrind/polish, order a full bearing set with oversize shells (hoping to get away with only 0.25 oversize, that's if the crank isn't scrap haha). And then rebuild. Only saving grace is the piston r -
well like i say mine are 8 inch wide and et17 and i had to lift the ride height a bit and put 185 tyres on but other than that no hassle at all
-
I wouldn't advise doing it yourself- there are companies (like arch enemy) who might be able to advise....
-
I would have this, but so very far
-
You're probably not going to get away with just rolling the arches with 8j et0. You're going to need to flare the arches a fair bit too, and as above, maybe cut out the inner arch. A lot of work but i think they look awesome with low offset wheels! Mine are 15x8 et17 and they rubbed like hell- had to lift it by about 15mm on the back and put 185 tyres on them so the tread was in the arch.
-
Depends what facilities/tools you have. Having a bench and vice makes it much easier. and if you have a piston wind back tool, that makes it easier too.
-
Buy a rebuild kit from id workz and rebuild both the rears yourself, good as new after a rebuild. JDM EP did have some callipers in too though if you just want to buy one
-
Mine also does this every now and again, sounds horrific lol. will try what tommy said ^^^
-
Oh dear, what were you doing? have you sorted it?
-
Lol you can't tell there was ever snow here just about now. Rained a lot last night and it's raining today, how depressing. The novelty soon wears off though, it's alright while you don't have anywhere to be but trying to get to work the past few days has been horrendous. Luckily it's flat as a fart round here so no proper hills to contend with haha
-
Both times on my starlets its most noticeable at about 3000rpm when you gently lift off the throttle. Saying that the Galnza sounded absolutely spectacular anything above idle lol.

I think i've only ever seen you drive yours twice. You're still beating Kurt though, I've never even seen his running hahaha -
It might be easier to find a GT turbo fuel tank, I think they're the same but maybe someone else can confirm. I have a GT turbo and an EP80 but i've never compared the tanks lol.
-
That does suck a bit, we don't often get as much as say Leeds and Sheffield, but we do get some every now and again... you're not missing much i suppose, the novelty wears off very quickly at 6am on the way to work lol
-
Lol yeah that would be the thing about owning a 4paw- so very precious! I'd literally die if i bought one, converted it to 4efte, then it blew the diff. oh dear that's no good. at least it was just the wheel though. That thought went through my mind this morning if i slip into a curb and kill my work wheels. May swap them for some other alloys tonight, although i don't famcy R888's in the snow either hahaha
-
Lol where abouts are you? i think the majority of the country has had a bit over the past few weeks. Only had a covering last night here, but forecast more for tomorrow. Being right on the coast we usually just get rain which sucks, but if the wind is from the north it can sometimes bring some beasty snowstorms in from the north sea
-
Hahaha oh no what actually happened? 4WD drift went wrong? lol Would love a 4 paw for the snow, maybe one day...
-
Lol if anything it just scares me the LSD, i miss the days of single wheel spins, they were the simple days lol. Full replaced/serviced all rear brakes and handbrake cables last year on the GT so the handbrake is absolutely immense anyways but in the snow last night i gave it a dab and it instantly went sideways haha lethal fun. Hoping for more tomorrow!
