I want to see some more of the world. Want to go to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South America and China. Would like to move out too but I'm not desperate to take on a mortgage/rent that will cripple my every month to pay for a house that will stand empty all day while i'm at work struggling to pay for it. Most of all i'd like to end up in a job that i don't hate. I earn a good wage working for the MOD but it's not a forever job. I want to work in an area that uses my degree to some extent. I'm only 23 so plenty of time i suppose...

They're called reservior covers/socks and they're just to smarten it up a bit and hide the nasty looking fluids. You can get them from ebay you can just use sweatbands too i suppose...

Don't buy second had gaskets dude the ones youre after are pretty cheap brand new. Wasting your time putting on second had gaskets. Pretty sure i have 2 brand new genuine toyota cat-exhaust gaskets i'll have a look tonight.

Looking good as always, wish I'd removed the aerial on my Glanza but maybe in time to come. I sprayed up both bumpers, bootlid, ducktail and spoiler on my ep80 in 3E5 with no lacquer and it just seemed to sit perfect straight from the gun just found it easier to work with in a dusty cold chicken shed lol if any little bits fall in the paint can just bury it haha. Just can't wait to see this with fresh paint on now!

So the valve stem oil seals need attention it would seem! lol Lots of smoke on over run. Pretty confident it's the stem seals though seems unlikely to be anything else. The bung on the timing side of the inlet cam gave up yesterday on the way into work. The oil light started fliskering on but luckily i was pretty much at work. I topped it up as it was pretty much empty, then it took 6L of oil just to get home lol, it was literally POURING out of the engine lol, i could see it running down the bottom timing cover. I think it could be gases escaping into the head past the stem seal

Japfest 2, JAE, TOTB, Japshow Finale, and some MFN meets and the local drag racing in York. There's usually a few good cruises in Scarborough and Whitby throughout the year, Can't wait. May make the journey to JF1 this year, uni exams etc have always got in the way before so this could be the year. And maybe the Glanza will make an appearance at some shows!

Awesome! Mine went on my glanza yesterday, was horrendous! I'm going to have to take off the bottom pulley and timing cover because i think the bung may be floating around down there somewhere which is not good

Dude I can drag my entire Glanza by pulling on the ducktail and that's just bonded with tiger seal. Honestly it won't be going anywhere! But if you want to drill the bootlid etc that's up to you...

Few pics of it in daylight before setting off to the MOT test yesterday, grafted from test drives in the rain though I washed it, hoovered it out and put in the optional 5 piece mat set today and it looks a lot better for a good clean inside and out! I will grab some more pics of it while it's clean when i can!

Cheers guys, going to give her a good wash/clean on the inside this weekend as it's still covered in dust from storeage lol. Only thing the MOT tester pointed out to me were that the tyres are approaching the wear markers (i knew this, have some eagle F1's to swap onto these rims), the nearside outer CV had a tie wrap instead of a proper clip and it was losing grease slightly so i've ordered some clips. There was also a slight coolant leak from the heater matrix coolant pipes too but yet to have a look at that, just teething problems mostly. Yeah the one i used was a G6R box from a G6

IT PASSED!!! Now fully MOT'd and taxed for a year. Going to get the tracking done ASAP and it has a slight misfire on full boost but I think it's just the HT leads so I'll invest in some magnecore ones. So happy to finally be able to drive it! I'll stick some photos of it from today on here soon

I now have both a TD04 GT Turbo and a Tongs CT9 Hybrid Glanza. I love the kick of a TD04 but the Glanza is more keen, you don't have to be as coscious of what gear you're in with a CT9. Personally if i had to chose i'd go with the CT9 hybrid, purely on the way it drives. TD04 is a cheaper route, bigger power figures, cheaper replacement turbo, nice manifold option available from wepr/zisco etc. It depends on what you want out of the car.

Good info there, Just an alternative option i suppose, it feels awesome to drive with though and i would definitely say that in 6th gear the revs are less at the same speed with a starlet box but i'll have to compare to my GT

I haven't got specific details like ratios and final drive but i'm sure there will be a thread on here if not you would find it on google. I paid £170 delivered for mine from a breaker on ebay. I've just bought a new set of driveshaft seals from Toyota as the original 6 speed ones are weeping slightly. they could've been damaged by the guy who removed the corolla shafts. But that's literally it, the starlet shafts go straight in now bother, it mounts up prefectly to the engine and in the engine bay, the starlet sandwich plate fits fine etc etc. Just need to mod the shifter to
