  1. Awh bless it, little cars like these often fair better than the likes of big bmw's and such though, do enjoy seeing M3 drivers stuck haha. It's forecast snowy showers today but got a weather warning for tomorrow where I am. Won't be hanging around inw ork if it gets too bad, a good 25 mile journey in the snow is interesting and the splitter on the Advance is in danger of being snapped...
  2. Yeah i remember him. I have him on instagram too. wouldn't have expected it from him!
  3. Saw the post on facebook about this, gutted for you man proper shame. What was his username on here out of interest?
  4. HAHAHAHA that wouldn't have last five minutes on here, so funny. Kinda what you get though for trying to sell something like that on a forum like that. Like when people try to swap saxos/corsas for starlets on the facebook page etc. lol.
  5. Totally agree, it was just dragging me about as it gained/lost grip. Pulling out at a junction onto a fast road was interestign need the glanza sorted so i know at worst it will just spin haha. Haha how did you manage to put it in a ditch? I saw someone pull the handbrake on in asda car park in a jag last night, everyone loves a cheeky slide in the snow haha
  6. How are the Starlets of the world coping with the freezing weather? Anyone been out for some fun? Had a few moments this morning when my LSD kicked in and dragged me about in the snow, didn't enjoy that! Post some pics of your Starlet in the snow!
  7. The facebook pages are a total joke, been tempted to unjoin them and free my news feed from the restarded arguments but i have had a few bargains from there... As for the forum i still love it, still an awesome bunch of people on the whole but there are a few cocks about. I love reading through build threads (even though my work computer won't load photos), and the for sale section is strong as ever. JDM-EP is an awesome and reliable addition to the scene. Can't wait for some meets/shows. I've had advice on here that has helped builds massively and i couldn't have been without. However
  8. My GT was 183,000km on the clock and going strong, it only blew up after a company i will not name did a trememdous job of mapping it...
  9. oooh i would like these for my glanza hmmm will keep an eye out
  10. Go see it, have a good look over it for the obvious stuff, an engine that's been serviced on the dot all it's life could go bang at any time, likewise and engine that's been given death all it's life could last forever, luck of the draw i think dip the oil and have a look what colour/consistency it is. Can usually tell how well someone has looked after an engine judging by the state of the oil that's in it and the state of the engine bay in general...
  11. Yeah for what it costs to buy two lenses you may aswel. I think matt has some facelift lights for sale on jdm ep
  12. I tried to do exactly this to some NA lights a month ago. They fit shape wise but the little screw holes don't line up. it would leak water in really bad i think. or you could use a small amount of sealant to put them on. Personally i neded up just buying some whole reflet lights instead...
  13. have a go with the search button on here...
  14. For a glanza? maybe £80ish?
  15. Literally paid browner for an SRF plug and play the day before this thread went up. i would've had this
  16. lol did it survive? i'll have a look next time im at lock up, i'll pm you
  17. Yeah they're meant to be immense in the dry, but it's the thought of driving in the wet that scares me. I'm not one to fling it round corners or go on track so i just think someone else may aswel have the fun out of them rather than me driving like a granny on them lol. i'll stick with my eagle F1's for that haha
  18. Most things are radioactive to some extent. An elements radioactiveness if you like is usually given by stating it's halflife. this is the time it takes for the initial radiation level of an element to fall to half of the original value. This means that it is an exponential relationship and therefore never actually reaches a zero value, it just gets smaller and smaller and smaller. These cars (and everything else in the area) will have high radioactivity levels but they will fall very quickly to start with. but they will stay a lot higher than normal for hundreds/thousands of years
  19. Have a quick look on google or wikipedia as they will no doubt explain it better, Basically if something is radioactive it emites radiation. The radiation can be in the form of waves (such as x-rays, gamma rays etc). or very small sub atomic particles (electrons, nuetrons, protons etc). More weird an wonderful things can be emitted but for the majority its either a wave, particle or both. When something is radioactive and emits radiation it is called nuclear decay. Things are radioactive when the element is unstable- it has too many particles in the atom nucleus or its energy
  20. Just bought a GT that's come on 15x7 wheels with 195 50 R888's all round with good tread so i'm tempted to stick those on my advance or glanza to see how they handle with those but ultimately i want to sell those wheels/R888's to fund other things...
  21. I've got 15x8 et17 work wheels with 185 55 15 tyres on them and it handles like you wouldn't believe (with cage, coilovers, braces, anti roll bars etc) Literally handles insanely well. I'll be going for 195 50 15's when it next needs tyres though, only went for 185's as i cam across a full set cheap
  22. Lol if all women were like me the world would be covered in insane asylums haha. Yeah fix what breaks until it runs out of issues lol. I've started prepping a few panels for my new GT project while this is on axle stands with the sump off, bearing should be here tomorrow all being well. Silly Glanza, rod bearings are for fishermen...
