  1. I've only ever bought a few items from the facebook pages but they do make me laugh reading some of the posts. Like that lad trying to sell that gold key for like £300 or something ridiculous. But a few weeks ago I got a mint set of 98 spec crystal fogs for £30 delivered. But being a GT person i didn't realise the 96 and 98 fogs mount differently but managed to fit them to my 96 spec bumper thankfully. Sometimes you can grab a real bargain from these pages but i'd say be cautious and NEVER send as a gift through paypal!
  2. Saw this on ebay and have to say what a stunner! If i hadn't just bought my 4th starlet i'd have snapped it up and put a manual box in it! Very keen to see what you do with it!
  3. The easiest way to check all of those things would be to take the turbo off really. That way you can have a good look at all aspects of it and the maanifold and replace the gaskets at the same time. The standard manifolds are very prone to crack on the third runner and they are mega restrictive. if you remove the standrad heat shield (if it still has one) you'll see the manifold and it may be obviously cracked, but sometimes the crack an be underneath or in the collector. The wastegate on the CT9 often has one or more big cracks but that more often causes boost creep than lag but worth checkin
  4. Welcome along glad you're enjoying it! get some pics up! You seem pretty accurate, the heating issue sounds like thermostat (could do the boiling water test but they're cheap enough to replace) Speedo could also be an issue with the converter, just check that the cable is fitted properly in the clocks/converter and if it's still not working try removing the converter and trying it directly in the box? Ans as for the lag issue if it's still on the standard CT9 turbo it shouldn't be laggy at all. Could be a crack in the wastegate of the turbo or a cracked manifold, or a boost leak. Or
  5. D2's are pretty much the hardest. I've gotten used to mine now and they don't bother me anymore but it's a shock at first
  6. Just bought this and fitted it to my Glanza. I can vouch that it is a good quality kit and fits very well. As for the power aspect you might end up needing a bigger core but don't quote me on that you're better off speaking to the person building the engine/mapping it.
  7. They are very hard. Got some on my GT. Give a good ride height and handle very well though but yes on the softest setting they are still back breakers haha
  8. If it's standard you haven't accidentally pressed the lo boost button next to the hazard button? only get two lights when it's on the low boost setting i think.
  9. Haha give that right foot a rest My MPG has dropped a bit too, i took it to be the cold. Seems to pull harder in the cold so i tend to put my foot down more haha
  10. The optional extra scene sort of annoys me a bit because of this. It encourages people to ask stupid prices for uncommon/sought after parts. I paid £60 for my EP80 (the whole car running and roadworthy), yet that idiot wants £250 for a key?!?! I love the chase of looking for a part that you really want. Took me ages to find a glow panel, then it took a while to find a mk1/2 bootlid to fit it. But when I see people selling a battered glow panel for like £200 on the facebook group lol. To be fair, parts will go for stupid prices so long as there are stupid people paying these prices.
  11. There used to be someone who sold these on ebay a few years ago, i've been looking hopefully for these ever since but never seen them again. they used to retial for about £20 or there abouts i think.
  12. I have these on my glanza. they don't quite sit perfectly flush to the rocker cover but they sit a bit closer on mine than yours i'd say. I'll get a photo tonight.
  13. I've never really been one for the optional hype... some of them are cool like the rear strut and GT door cards because they serve a functional/useful purpose... but stuff like this just does not appeal to me even if it was like £20 lol. but fair play to the oem lads each to their own i suppose.
  14. If you've got your heart set on staying in times square then go for it by all means, but if you stay slightly further away from times square you can get an awesome hotel for a lot less money! Been a few times now, just gets better every time for me love it!
  15. Lol thanks! Makes a change to see a starlet here, it's usually like a vauxhall showroom in the student car park haha. Are you still here?
  16. Yes pretty sure they fit both
  17. did they all stop working at the same time?
  18. Lol sorry i feel bad now, I was browsing and noticed them- one of my GT wind deflectors is held on by some crappy sticky foam so thought i'd take the oppertunity to sort it out lol
  19. Would've snapped this up instantly if you were In Yorkshire. Oh well glwts
  20. Hey I have two, PM me an offer, will get photos tomorrow if you're interested...
