Ah right cool i thought i'd heard of it. Wouldn't mind having a steady drive up there to see what the hype is just googled it, looks awesome!

I thught it would be a mistake but i know what it's like trying to decipher a paint code haha total nightmare if it's not a common colour! I'm intruiged to see what it is now i'll have a look after work.

Yeah i noticed that it was unplugged on the actual horn lol, no problem will get it sorted in time, battery is off for the foreseeable future anyways and to save it deafening me haha. Yeah the armrest is mint! although the gauges seem to be a bit off, hooked them up to a battery to check them as i was going to put them in the glanza for now and they need calibrating or something, i'll get round to sorting them eventually. A bit more progress... I managed to get it such that there were only the shafts, gear cables and knock sensor/alternator/starter motor wiring left to do. With plenty of GT85 and windy gunning the 30mm nut came off the end of the shaft, but when i went to actually pop the shafts out of the box i failed lol. They were tight to come out and although i did try i just couldn't hit the pry bar hard enough to pop them. But i understand how to do them now which is the reason i wanted to take it on myself. If it was on a ramp i couldve done it but my knees are absolutely shot so getting positioned under the car is really really painful. Not being a moaning cow but that's how it is haha. Sam kindly took over and knocked them out for me (and trusted that i'd drained all the gearbox oil out- which i had haha) I tried... Also got a few more bits sprayed up, stripped the passenger door ready to remove and spray, just started prepping the passenger side door shut by removing all trim etc and unbolted the passenger side rear window. Placed a huge order with ID-Workz, great service as always. Got all the parts to completely overhaul an engine (barring oill pump as i don't know which tyoe suits the block yet). Also ordered a TOMS front bumper- the last piece of the kit. Excited to crack on with this now the weather is a bit warmer!

I can't see the pics on my MOD computer but the paint code for the blue/purple glanza is 8K9 not AK9. There's a thread on here in the wiki section with all the jdm colours and codes, 8K9 will be on there for comparison.

Yeah they are more retro. I have plenty of mk 3 lights though until i find a set of mk1 lights. That one has been on ebay for ages but one is as good as none lol.

They're to go on my MK2 GT project, I have a glow panel so just want some rear lights to go with it.

Change the coolant temp sensor, the EMU won't see the reading from the coolant temp sensor anyway.

There was a Glanza that was in Hull for a long while that was black with a hint of red. Looked really smart but looked pretty standard tbh. I really liked it but wasn't much of a statement. That wee Glanza has been passed about a lot recently, been on ebay a few times etc bit of a shame really.

Coolant temp sensor?

Looking for a set of GT Turbo Mk 1 rear lights. Preferably good condition but i know these are hard to come by. No major cracks though! PM me on here if anyone can help, they're for my GT project so no mega rush but thought i'd start looking now!

So when the car is ticking over it doesn't suck air throught the turbo/inlet pipes/inlet into the engine no? Found many a boost leak this way.

I wanted to do the GT i've just got in the marakesh brown, but no skillz haha. i think it would look amazing on a starlet.

Do you have a friend with another ecu you can try? even if the wires/plugs look ok you could've damaged the components on the circuit board. worth a try

I get miles more hassle from other drivers in my Glanza compared to my GT. I think some are unsure on what a GT is but most people know what a glanza is. I just smile as they overtake, or they usually back off a bit if they realise it's a girl haha.

Yeah need to take mine off really and get at it with the orbital. But will look much better without all the soot and crap in there. Every time i plan on taking the GT to lock up for a few weeks to reapir the splitter and do jobs like this the bloody glanza blows up again...

People who don't clean inside the arches. I don't go mad but I always get rid of any lumps of mud etc. where it gathers at the edge of the sill. My aim this year is to make my exhaust look presentable.

With the engine running, spray easy start on the area you think might be leaking and the revs will rise if it is.
