  1. I'll start the list but i've never done the conversion myself but i think you'll need the following parts from a 4EFTE; - ECU - Oil filter housing - Sump - Exhaust manifold and turbo, decat and exhaust to suit - Injectors and fpr (can't remember if they're the same on the efe to the fte but i assume fte ones are bigger) - Some form of intercooler I'm not sure if the 4efe have a knock sensor but if not they would have the casting for one to be fitted. The fte ecu won't like it if there's no knock sensor signal. Bear in mind that the compression is higher too so don't run silly boost. There's probably loads more but one of the converted lads is better off telling you what else you need.
  2. Yeah it really was a monster, could've been a hornet but i'm not sure. I shit myself but luckily Sam was there so he got rid of it haha. Another update! Engine is out and she's been span around to give me more room all round to get in and take the remaining panels off. Engine is blathered in oil and so is the gearbox. Hoping to split the box off and mount it on an engine stand ASAP to assess the failure and see what's salvagable and get a block crank and head down to machine shop. So i'm currently stripping panels off the car to spray and then i'll tackle the roof/rear quarters, door/boot shuts. Stripping everything out of the bay to spray but that shouldn't take too long i don't think most things in there just ubolt. Also in the process of spraying up another front bumper for the advance and then getting the front lip and offside sideskirt off for a refurb/respray before the shows start but it seems i'm running out of time!
  3. They did do an EP82 recaro interior but they're like hens teeth now
  4. They're just short of 7 litres i think, they're actually a Caterpillar engine (the plant equipment stuff). Some torque I imagine
  5. Might help if you said for EP82 or EP91
  6. The cylinder heads have a number stamped on them too. I have a few different numbers. I think they're just casting marks to identify which moulds they were made in? i could be wrong...
  7. MK2 GT project coming along well- exciting times!

  8. HU13 0HB is the country park inn which is like a resturant/hotel right at the end of the foreshore. we should be parked up on the left before you get there though. Its a long straight road with car parking spaces on the left basically in front of the water.
  9. Yes sorry i'm more active on here when i'm at work (obviously very busy haha) Still good for 12 everyone?
  10. Lol it looks like a celebrity with two beefy bodyguards 😆
  11. Yeah I thought I would chuck a few cheeky stickers on there when it's done ;) Cheers dude
  12. Yeah they really are huge. The mastiff 3 costs about 3.5 million. Expensive toys haha.
  13. For those of you that don't know me, i work at the Defence School of transport- the largest driving school in Europe. I work in the Quarter Master's department and basically our QM is leaving the army in a few weeks after 25 years service so he wanted a department photo shoot with some of our UOR vehicles before he leaves. I took the opportunity to sneak my car in before the shoot and get some pics hehe This vehicle is a Mastiff 3, and they're bloody huge! The vehicle on the left is a Wolfhound CIED (counter for improvised explosive devices) basically an armoured dog section. Not many people will have seen these unless they are military/ex military or have been to an army open day somewhere. they don't drive these on the road as they're literally too big! Anyways i thought it was a cool opportunity to get some unique pics! makes my Advance look tiny!
  14. Well i'm terrible at remembering to take photos but here's a few more! wing in primer started priming at masking the wing mirrors. i'd been handling them for ages (the glass wouldn't come out- the screws were so tight i was afraid they would just round off so i just masked the glass). So i was moving it about and sticking my fingers in to mask it etc. then this monster crawled out after a few dusts of primer. IT WAS HUGE! must have been a queen. Absolutely mortified! pic of the R888'S oooooohhhhhhh. going to give the wheels/tyres a good wash as they're caked in mud from us rolling it in the lock up after i'd stripped out the front end (just before i took the intercooler off) and a quick pic just before the engine comes out. I managed to do everything myself apart from knocking the shafts out. with it being on axle stands and my knackered knees and hatred of being on my back while working on cars i just couldnt do it. in my defence though they did seem pretty tight. took sam longer than usual but he managed it with no dramas of course haha. all coolant pipes are off, i've unbolted the clutch slave cylinder, gear linkages are off, just need the little metal clips that locate them on the box out and kock sensor/alternator/starter motor wiring and it can come out. pretty chuffed so far I've also managed to bag some MK1 rear lights for it, which will go well with the glow panel. Toms front bumper is on order, and i've just received a £500 order from id workz of nearly all serviceable parts (ball joints, track rods, discs and pads all round, wheel bearings all round, handbrake cables, fuel filter etc etc) and also all parts needed barring piston rings and oil pump to totally overhaul an engine like i did for my advance. was unsure as to which type of oil pump i needed as i've not had the bottom cover off yet and what size bearings (will buy these after the block has been to be machined). I will take some more photos today hopefully
  15. my ep80...
  16. No i have nothing against the car, but the previous owner was a stain on humantiy. He was trying to sell it, then it got impounded because he was drink driving in it, then he was giving it away but the new owner would have to pay the impound fee to get it out, then he got it out and was giving it away, then it was up for sale... literally plagued my facebook for weeks. i rarely comment on stuff on those facebook groups because of all the trolls but i ended up commenting on that... notifications for years.... lol good luck with it though be nice to see what you do to it.
  17. no way! I knew i hadn't seen the last of that car... at least it's not in teh hands of the worlds biggest idiot anymore i suppose

  19. Matt has one for sale on JDM EP i think dude
  20. They will fit no bother if it's not lowered, but you'll struggle for lows on 16's they're a bit big, 15's or 14's are the best size for starlets but thats just my opinion
  21. I can't even cope if there's a slight tapping/rattling noise i think this would drive me insane! but i like the idea
  22. Why though? what's the point of them? they sound mega cool i judt don't understand lol. I remember it from initial d now but i've only seen it once.
  23. Aye i have more pics to put on just always forget at home and can't do it at work. I will update with more pics tomorrow hopefully
