  1. Are any of the Intercooler pipes short route? Or are the all coming off the turbo to the right? (long route)

  3. The wire on connection is fused about 20cm down. It goes to a fuse box and out again. 2 mins I'll upload a picture!

  5. Basically wiring in my HIDs (I'm a lover, I know other people feel VERY strongly against them.) Obvious choice is battery, but I doubt that's a sensible solution. Was thinking somewhere from the fuse box. I'm happy to cut off the end and change the connector if it's safer? Just want to know the best place without making a £3000 rolling fire hazard! See pic!

  11. When i say piece together, i will buy a branded mani/downpipe. The otherbits i will buy seperate. For instance, TD want over £1000 for a full TD04 kit. That's still missing stuff. I can buy everything + Mapping and a emanage for roughly £1000.

  19. Well, i ordered some 8,000kelvin HIDs from Hong Kong earlier in the month. Well 30th October to be exact. After a shit load of air miles they arrived today.. 20 days later.. Epic delivery time.. beats Royal Mail when some it rains anyway... So i'll be rolling the V into the garage this eve and give them a bash.. I'm hoping it wont throw the high beam constantly on when they're on which i've read can sometimes happen. We'll see.. Might end up having to do that mod at some point. I also really need to get my manual boost controller fitted along with my HKS actuator, but im tempted just to leave that until the TD04 happens early next year. Still completely undecided on that. I've decided against porting my wastegate, im just going to live with it as i dont use boost much anyway i do 5/6 miles a day and its in rush hour most mornings/evenings anyway! Update to follow this evening when there in!
  20. Ok, thanks for the info. I think taking everything into account. I'll go the TD04 route. I've read and read into it etc.. and i know what i need to do etc.. with thanks to Mikey for advice/guidance and Phil. It's lucky i drive 3 miles to work, and 3 miles home really. Sitting in traffic rush hour times.. I dont need to touch boost which is a plus side!
  21. That last part was nonsense to me. Sounds like i need to do some more searching about these turbos. Are they more expensive than a TD04? Otherwise i'll stick with them.. can get them cheap enough! Royal mail, I must admit, if im ever sending to Ireland again ill use them, they still class it as UK and charge no more, as couriers like to pull your pants down as it involves a boat/plane! - Sorry about the delay in postage, i'll accept my feedback like a boss anyway! ;)

  23. I bought a new gasket but my engine had done 83km's like 40k-50k so it was mint. It looked as prestine as the new one i had.. Have you got fueling setup to compensate for the 0.9bar boost?
  24. I remember me, you and tobz talking about that. You guys words were "Best to run a turbo hot than run a hot engine" so would i need to essentially block them off on the turbo and the engine?
