  1. So, got the centre section on last weekend, it's raspy but sounds not dissimilar to a blow so a few weeks and the spoon axle back will be on its way ;) Then into some bigger more essential bits like new discs for the front, coilovers and wheels within the next few months, just got a pay rise too which helps out a lot. I will upload a video of oem back box rasp ones when I get the chance
  2. Just read your whole thread definitely took the edge off of work haha! Love the car dude! One of my fav v's for sure! Looking forward to the next updates

This makes me sad hope you fix her taggy, you need to get the money's worth out of what you put in, you'll just have to put in a bit more! It's simply an unfortunate circumstance, there's noone to blame essentially, it could be a fault that occurred well after mapping/engine build, it's likely that its just coincidence that it happened a few weeks after, if something was wrong during the time of mapping, no doubt TD would have noticed. Anyone with half a brain cell that maps cars would know if it was running lean enough to cause this amount of damage, surely.
  4. Golden. That spoiler looks quite smart in that colour haha it's been painted well, might clash with the uv tints a bit though ;) good job you're painting it! Pedals look smart too I had some dodgy covers on mine which kept falling off, of course I didn't bother putting them back on haha.
  5. To be fair, my mates clio 172 cup is a bit of a weapon. Interior sucks and he had to have the gearbox overhauled at about 56k. Fun to drive though. I'd still pick a td5 defender/discovery over it though ;)
  6. Liking the rebuild mate As for the airbrushing, I like it when it's subtle, like.. Very subtle, but not my place to judge anyone's cars or taste though and it's definitely looking smart with the current work
  7. No hating here - td5 landys are great! Cheap to modify for a bit of off roading too - appreciate every car regardless of make and model! Except fiats... They're something else.
  8. Ads like this just give a tickle, does look clean though even if the guy is a bit sticker happy
  9. This thing is tidy love it keep up the awesomeness!!
  10. <3 amber corners on white. Liking the plans! Good job!
  11. If I stole it, would you mind too much? That colour is beautiful.
  12. Awesome car would have been rude not to buy it! Haha - definitely keeping an eye on this.
  13. I want your wheels and I don't even have anything to put them on. Looking smart mate (y)
  14. I lolled. You'd think people would do a bit of research if they weren't sure about facts and figures...
  15. It's fine ill bring my cork. As for early mornings, I'm definitely game.
  16. Does your handbrake warning light work?
  17. I hear you have track time at japfest. Can't wait to see that! Haha. Epic build mate
  18. Don't know whether to blame Marc for selling to him or tris for buying this which in turn has made me want another starlet. And I really want to ruin the guessing game but I won't. Nearly spaffed myself when I saw the pictures, over such a small, simple item!! ;)
  19. So - minor update - pictures coming in about 4 hours. Tinted the top half of the taillights red as the chrome was really effing bugging me. Lexus lights don't even look good on Lexus's and there is nothing else chrome to match. So they're block red now (reverse light is a bit pink but ill make do until I can get the jdm ones) Fitted the injen ram air induction kit. Vtec roars a beaut now but still got nothing on most v's. Plans for the future are to add photos and - Jdm head/taillights for black surrounds rather than chrome Megan mid pipe Spoon n1 axle back exhaust (might even consider
  20. If the car runs smooth and it's not causing any problems, you may not work it out until/if it gets worse and the 'problem' becomes more obvious. You know what they say, 'don't fix it if it ain't broken!' Keep an eye on it mate and see what happens. Just to let you know though I take no responsibility if I'm advising you not to take action over a problem, I'm not a mechanic after all haha
  21. I wouldn't have picked the Ronals for this, guess your bawsack is bigger than mine! However I think they look good and different! Not grids or gt3's for once ;)
  22. I'd hedge a bet on h/g if I'm honest - work van is doing the same currently - you getting any excess steam exhaust wise? And checked the colour of your oil?
  23. Fit everything you've got before mapping ideally, apart from injectors. Though run standard boost until then so the ecu can mix the fuel/air well enough to not put hardware under any strain imo - if you're planning to keep it at 1 bar tho, get the fuel pump and rrfpr in - set mine between 2.7 and 3.0 bar if I remember rightly (think it was measured in bar) for a rich mixture before getting mine mapped, which is much safer than running retardedly lean. Get her mapped pronto tho because you're putting the ecu in a place where it doesn't know wtf is going on.
