His came with the late spec Gen3 FE with the DIS ignition. So to get your car running with that ECU you would need the rest of the kit, ie crank sensor, leads etc. Can get the lot from E11 Corolla.
Auto or manual doesnt matter, what does is the number of splines on the hub end, like some GT shafts have a different number to V shafts. Best bet is to just count and be 100% what youre buying will fit
If its only worn bushes and you replace them with polys then yeah should sort it, but as i said could be ball joints etc worn aswell. Really needs inspected to see whats worn. And alignments gonna need done after doing any jobs like lower arms etc. Thats why its best to do the lot at once imo.
If it was me id replace the lower arms, they come with new bushes in them and its less fuckin about tbh. And a set of bottom ball joints and track rod ends. Then set alignment up. As for the back of the car theres a few bushes you can get which youve mentioned but they shouldnt affect the steering of the car unless they are totally fucked. Or get a full poly bush set and your sorted lol.
Got something off Marc, well priced, great communication, posted quick, well wrapped and also chucked in a TRD emblem thing Quality seller, cheers again buddy.
Got the car quicker than expected so heres a quick vid i took during my lunch break lol. Ignore the sticker on the bumper lol my blue 85 bumper is going back on, and ignore my speccy pal in the car haha. >http://youtu.be/BmWUtJSh18g
I sold someone a Gen3 FE ECU with the DIS setup, all that was needed was a crank sensor and some wire to the ECU. Looked like this. And here is the numbers to compare. Dont know if they managed to do it but any parts needed you can get from a E11 Corolla.
You need to know if the EP95 has DIS Ignition setup or the normal dizzy setup. If its the DIS ignition then you also need the coilpack, leads, crank sensor etc. This is the late spec Gen3 FE same as E11 Corollas. And then you need to wire that lot into your loom. Lot of effort for not a lot of gain on a N/a tbh. If its got the normal dizzy setup then it will plug in and start up but there wont be any difference id have thought, it will have came from a Gen2 engine same as a UK FE.
If you are using a block from a N/a just make sure it has the threaded hole on the back for the knock sensor. I know some N/a blocks had this and some didnt. Its not the end of the world if not just means it will need to be machined in.
Is anyone gonna lock this or will it just continue to run for another 2.5 years ? Everything was sold, the shell was sold, someone reshelled their V with this shell, then i believe that car was crashed possibly. So you'll be hard pushed to get any parts outta this thread
