Handbrake and other differences?
daniel_g replied to sdutton007's topic in 4WD Starlet Knowledge Base
The fuel pump is in a different place, might not be an issue if youre running a different tank. Ehh and theres a few random sensors around the handbrake that i havent seen on any other starlet. Shouldnt affect the running of the car though so i wouldnt worry. Infact all you really need to run to the rear is wirimg for the lights. -

How far away is the 85 one away from fitting, like miles away ? The handbrake cables will be different because of the rear drums. Cant say ive seen those brackets before bud. Do you have the 85 interior loom ? -
Ehh ?

crystal headlights for someone here

Yeah it was all the facelift JDM N/a EP9*s that got them. -
Thats a really good budget, for that i would personally get a custom 2.5 or 3'' system but use a Jap backbox of your choice.

My Carat has them -
I'd just keep the drums, GT/Glanza rear calipers are renowned for sticking and also the handbrake being shite, my GT passed handbrake efficiency by 1% and would hardly hold the car.

Somebody pin this shit please haha !! Theres pretty much all you need to know in the 4 threads above ^^

Glanza lights dont have the little 'E' on them so they dont have to meet european standards. I'd polish them up a wee bit, and if its failed again just complain lol. They should get tested to USA standards technically which are very lenient and hardly require a beam pattern at all.

'Strong construction provides years of reliable service' Not even going to say anything.
-
'Flanges installed at user discretion' LOL You'd need to be a flange to install it ahaha

Is it Gaz's old blue one ? You'll probably need to fabricate up brackets or something to hold an 82 one then. -
Looks a good job, i've been meaning to do this for a while too.

Just looks like a lot of shitey chinese parts. The parts description makes for a good read. Turbo is good for 450bhp, in tears here haha fuckin hilarious !!
-
Yeah shorty told me that a GT one has to be cut down 90mm, for his ride height anyway. That enabled the panhard to still be adjustable.

Just bought an intercooler off Jamie, paid wednesday, picked up thursday and arrived here today friday, and it was excellently packed !! Cant ask for better than that, cheers buddy

external waste gate setup help please :)
daniel_g replied to Cheznutter's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
If you have nothing for it then yeah put a bit of vac pipe over the nipple on the inlet, and put a bolt through that with a jubilee to hold it air tight. -
Just seen the trailer in the cinema haha, it looks quality !!

I know for a fact theres a lot of starlets in Scotland but its a rare sight to see any lol.
-
I've just installed one but the car isnt running yet so cant say whats its like to drive with but the pedal feels very solid, like ankle snapper solid so im guessing it'll be well up to the task
-
Thats the Legacy diesel turbo.
-
Heres a couple pics of the kit fitted, i've had to order in turbo studs so it isn't properly secured down yet, also the compressor side is still loose but you get the idea. Zisco top mount kit, mild mani, mild screamer, stainless downpipe with a VF12 turbo.

Tiger seal is what you need. Good price on dash delivered also

Ohh yeah i never thought about ebay breakers, i'll give them a try if i cant get anything off here
